DESERTERS FROM HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE.

From the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Otorohanga. rant for failing to parade for medical examination, Thomas Fahy, age twenty-two, height 6 ft. 2 in., labourer, native of Ireland, strong build, fresh complexion, dark hair. His last known address was G.P.0., Wellington.

Gisborne. failing to proceed to camp, William Ernest Davidson, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. in., teamster, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, blue eyes ; weight 1681 b.

Gisborne. —29th ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Alexander Arthur Walker, age about twenty-four, height 5 ft. 7 in., motor-driver, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, dark hair.

Hastings. —6th March last, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Frederick Barcle, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 10in., ploughman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes; Faith, Hope, and Charity, heart, anchor, cross, dart, star, and roses on left forearm; “True Love” and clasped hands on right forearm ; scar on right big toe.

Wanganui.—l6th instant, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, William John Black, age forty, height 5 ft, 8 in., bricklayer, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair, thin features; dressed in a shabby brown suit and dirty felt hat ; fond of drink.

Wanganui.—sth instant, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Reginald William Stanley Bradley, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 5 in., freezing-works hand, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes.

Palmerston North. —12th ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Thomas Russell Elliot, age thirty-one, height sft. 7Jin., shearer and ploughman, native of England, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes; weight 10 stone.

Pahiatua. —12th ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Cecil Joseph Swan, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 7 in., shepherd and drover, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes ; no hair on face ; usually wears riding-breeches and leggings ; fond of drink.

Featherston.—l7th instant, from Featherston Gamp, William George Marslen, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. lin., cook, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, hazel eyes. Next-of-kin, A. Marslen (wife), Ern’s Hotel, Taihape. He was last employed by the Tiki Brewery Company, Tiahape.

Upper Hutt.—lßth February last, from Trentham Camp, George Marker, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., carpenter, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes. Next-of-kin, Mrs. G. Plarker, Reads Quay, Gisborne. His last address was care of Mrs. Thorpe Grey Street, Auckland.

Wellington.— 18th March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, John Mary Buckley, age about thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., barman, native of Ireland, slight build, pale complexion, fair hair, blue eyes. He left for San Francisco on 15th November, 1915.

Wellington.—lßth March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, William Morgan Hopkin, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., farm labourer, native of Wales ; weight 10 stone 4 lb. (No further description available.)

Mount Cook,— Bth ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Edward Brown Gilchrist, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., professional violinist, native of Scotland, medium build, fair complexion, sandy curly hair, light-blue eyes, a front tooth gold-filled ; usually dressed in a light-tweed suit, and occasionally wears glasses; smart appearance.

Gbeymouth.—22nd March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, James O’Donnell, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., hairdresser, native of New Zealand, slight build, pale complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved, good teeth; usually dressed in a brown or blue suit, a bow tie, and shoes with high heels.

Christchurch. —l9th ultimo, on military warrant forfailing to parade for medical examination, Albert Gower, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. ljin., labourer and fireman, native of England, slight build, fair hair and complexion, small rolling eyes; slight impediment in speech ; Cockney accent; slovenly gait and appearance.

Ashburton. —2oth March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Hugh Hunter, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer. (No further description available.)

Timaru. —llth ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Edward Doneghy, age thirtyfive, height 5 ft. 8 in., farm labourer, native of Ireland, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes.

Roxburgh. —l9th March last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination Thomas Ackley, age about forty-six, height about 5 ft. 6 in., cook, stout build. (No further description available.)
