PROPERTY STOLEN.

Okupu (Great Barrier). —Betweerf the 15th December last and 17th ultimo, the property of PHILLIP WAKREN, Port Fitzroy, eighteen sheep, mostly wethers; wethers marked with small circle (o) on left ear, ewes small circle on right ear ; also twenty-four lambs : total value, £66. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to William Reid, jun., age forty-two, height 5 ft. 7Jin., native of Scotland, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; clasped hands, heart, and friendship, on right forearm. Napier. —22nd ultimo, from Napier Beach, the property of ERNEST ALBERT WILLIAM HENLEY, Marine Parade, a 10 ft. by 8 ft. calico tent, branded “ Wiederstrom, Port Ahuriri ” ; value, 15s. Identifiable.

Foxton. —23rd ultimo, from a whare, at Marotiri, the property of ROY GREENWOOD, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Waltham watch, “ Roy Greenwood, 1915,” on back, and a pig’s-tusk double chain with gold links between tusks : total value, £l2. Identifiable.

Petone. —26uh ultimo, from Jackson Street, the property of CHARLES ALBERT YOUNG, Sydney Street, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled free-wheel, B.S.A. bicycle, Eadie Coaster hub, rat-trap pedals, wide handles with black grips, back-pedalling brake; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Westport.—2nd instant, from the Golf-links, Orawaiti, the property of CHARLES WILLIAM DOHERTY, Defence Department, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled free-wheel bicycle, straight handles with black-leather grips, new gal-vanised-wire stay on rear mud-guard, Michelin tire on front wheel, Bates tire on rear wheel, Hokitika transfer on frame ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —On the 9th instant the dwelling of ELIZABETH PINE, 61 St. Albans Street, St. Albans, was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom: A ladies’ silver hunting keyless watch, No. 4161, forget-me-rots on outside case and “K.E.P.” on front; also 16s. 7d. in money : total value, £2 16s. 7d. Watoh identifiable.

Christchurch. —Between Ist January last and Bth instant, from the NEW ZEALAND EXPRESS COMPANY’S warehouse, High Street, twenty-seven boxes, each containing a Michelin red rubber tube for motor-oar tire, sizes 760x90, 810 x 90, 815 x 105, 650, 700, and 28 x 3 ; total value, £33 15s. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— 7th instant, from Royal Exchange Buildings, the property of JOHN lAN DOUGLAS BRADLEY, Telephone Exchange, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled fixed-wheel Imperial Swift bicycle, No. 21702 —571646, Buccaneer and Michelin tires, rat-trap pedal on left, rubber pedal on right, upturned handles, black grips, Brookes racingsaddle ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —sth instant, from 138 Lichfield Street, the property of McNIGHT WATT, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled free-wheel Kent bicycle, No. 2763, new Dunlop tire on back wheel, Eadie coaster hub, steel rims, rat-trap pedals, steel mud-guards, wide outrigger handle-bars; value £lO. Identifiable.

Addington. —23rd December last, from Lincoln Road, the property of WALTER SAUNDERS, Bealey Road, Aylesbury, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, La Grande saddle, American handle-bars, acetylenelamp ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Leeston. — Harry Thomas Hunt, suspected of stealing JOHN HENRY WALLACE’S bicycle, has been interviewed by the Dunedin polioe, and no implicative evidence obtained. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 71.)

Timaru.— 25th ultimo, from Adam’s Garage, the property of DENNIS COFFEY, a Triumph motor-bioycle, black, free engine, No. C. 3850, foot-spark consists of a piece of wire, one side of back-rest missing; value, £33. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —9th ultimo, the property of JAMES WILLIAM JOHNSTON, 21 Regent Street, a gentleman’s blackenamelled Royal Enfield bicycle, 22 in. frame, steel rims and pedal (right one missing), upturned handles, Eadie Coaster hub ; value, £3. Identifiable.
