APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Dargaville.— Arthur William Preston, failing to maintain : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 165.)

Auckland. — Charles Haughey, breaches of his prohibition order, has been served with summonses by the Newton police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 841.)

Pukekohe. —John Nellis McConachie, failing to maintain, has been located by the Tuakau police. (See Police Gazette , 1916, page 825.)

Napier.— Thomas McCarthy, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Kurow police. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 230.)

Manaia. — Herbert L. GafFey, absconding with money the property of his employees, as creditors: It has been ascertained by the Wanganui police that the complainants in this case have left the Dominion, and no witnesses are now available. Accused has been asrested on another oharge. (See Police Gazette, 1895, page 2, and following paragraph.)

Hawera. — Herbert L. GafFey, forgery: It has been ascertained by the Wanganui police that the complainant in this case is dead. Accused has been arrested on another charge. (See Police Gazette, 1895, page 17, and preceding paragraph.)

Patea. — Thomas Joseph Spalding, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Tenui police. He had assumed the name Thomas Smith. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 841.)

Levin. — George Sharrock, absconding from Weraroa, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 843.)

Carterton.— John Samuels, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 841.)

Upper Hutt. — Arthur Vance, deserting from the Expeditionary Force, has been arrested by the military police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 828.)

Wellington —John Edward Blonquist, alias Blanquist, alias Skate, breach of probation, has been located by the Taihape police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 641.)

Wellington (Taranaki Street). — Ernest Hunter, idle and disorderly, has been arrested by the Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 826.)

Hokitika.— Richard Shannon, default of maintenance : It has been ascertained by the Greymouth police that offender on the 21st January, 1915, died of wounds. (See Police Gazette, 1907, pages 63 and 79.)

Lincoln. — William Richard Bavister, absconding from Burnham : His arrest is not now desired. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 570.)

Oamaru. —John William Harrison, default of maintenance : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 184.)

Dunedin. — James Gunn Eeckie, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to the North-east Valley police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 842.)
