Dargaville.—24th June last, on warrant of commitment to Dargaville Police-gaol for seven days in default of paying £2 10s. fine and costs for drunkenness, John Clifford, age sixty-four, height 5 ft-. 6 in., labourer, native of Ireland, medium build, fresh complexion, grey hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a grey suit and Panama hat; dirty appearance.

He has a camera, which he carries in a brown-canvas case over his shoulder.

Rotorua.—23rd May last, that a summons for quitting a train while in motion may be served upon him, Herbert Baston, age about thirty-eight, height about 5 ft. 6in., supposed traveller, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, curly fair hair, fair moustache; ereot quick gait; smart appearance.

Dannevirke.—llth instant, on warrant for theft of a mare, gig, and harness (recovered), value £SO, the property of Herbert Monk, livery-stable keeper, Feilding, L. C. Hopkins, alias Thomas, age about twenty-one, height about sft. Tin., labourer and soldier, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair; dressed in a brown-tweed suit with light stripes, and soft brown-felt hat with “ Armstrong and Morrison, Hat Specialists,” inside. He is believed to be a member of the 18th Reinforcements (Infantry), and may have his uniform with him in a light-green canvas suit-case, with brass mountings and brown leather on corners. Accused, who was in khaki uniform, hired the mare and gig, drove to Piripiri, and sold them to Henry Thompson for £25. He afterwards left by train wearing plain clothes.

Auckland. —26th ultimo, on warrant for theft of £ls 135., the property of Albert Hoare, Mercer, W. A. Morgan, age about forty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., timberworker, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, teeth wide apart; usually dressed in a blue suit, rough blackfelt hat, tan boots, and stand-up collar slightly turned down at ends, and wears a black-ribbon watch-guard with a Kruger coin attached. Dannevjrke.— lßih March last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and child, John Ernest Choate, age forty-foqr, height 6 ft., carpenter, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes, “ J.C.” on one forearm ; usually dressed in a dark suit and dark soft-felt hat. Foxton. —7th instant, that he may be located, Wallace Martin, age nineteen, height 5 ft., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, light biown hair, grey eyes, fluffv hair on jaws ; dressed in a dark-tweed suit and brown soft-felt hat; about 9 st. weight. He is suspected of setting fire to Hans Andersen's hayshed. If be be located, an urgent communication is to be sent to the Inspector of Police, Wanganui.

Dinnie ” on inside coat-pocket; an autograph-book with a violet-suede cover; and several shirts with “ F. Dinnie” on them (also a gentlemen’s silver hunting-watch, and a pocket-wallet, recovered), total value £ll, identifiable, the property of Frank Adolphus Dinnie, 47 Mulgrave Street, Hori Robertson, alias Robson, alias Thomas, age eighteen (looks older), height about 5 ft. 11 in., clerk, native of New Zealand, plight build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes, thin face; usually dressed in a brown suit and soft grey-felt hat; good address and appearance. He looks like a quarter-caste Maori.

Kaiapoi. —2sth ultimo, that a summons for a breach of his prohibition order may be served upon him, Henry Holland, age about forty-six, height 5 ft. 10 in., bricklayer, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, cleanshaved, sunken cheeks; usually dressed in a brown-tweed suit and black hard hat; eczema on one leg; walks with a limp.
