(From Gazette, 1916, pages 1962, 1963, 1970, and 1971.) Addington Prison proclaimed a Prison Hospital under the Prisoners Detention Act , 1915. [l.s.] LIVERPOOL, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. W r HEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915, it is provided that the Governor may by Proclamation declare any hospital, or any part of a hospital or of a prison or police gaol, to be a prison hospital for the purposes of that Act :

Now, therefore, I. Arthur William de Brito Savile, Ear of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the Addington Prison, Christchurch, and the exercise-yards and other yards used in connection therewith, shall be a prison hospital within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisoners Detention Act, 1915.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile. Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen. Police-gaol proclaimed. [l.s.] LIVERPOOL, Governor A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Prisons Act, 1 908, it is enacted that the Governor may by Proclamation declare that such police-stations as he shall name therein shall be police-gaols : And whereas it is desirable to proclaim the police-station situated in Matahe Road, at Waipiro Bay, to be a police-gaol: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the gazetting of this Proclamation, the police-station situated in Matahe Road, at Waipiro Bay, shall be a police-gaol.

Making Regulation prescribing Close Season for Carp in

the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of June 1916.

Present : His Excellency the Governor in Council. IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred upon him by Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation prescribing a close season for carp in the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

REGULATION. The period from the Ist day of June to the 31st day of October in every year shall within the boundaries of the Rotorua Acclimatization District be a close season during which it shall be unlawful for any person to take, buy, sell, or have in possession carp, or in any way to injure the same. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1908, I, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint The Courthouse, Waipu, to be a place wherein a Magistrates’ Court shall be held under the provisions of the said Act.
