Auckland. —25th ultimo, on warrant for selling liquor (beer) to Richard Murphy without being licensed to sell the same, Patrick Conway, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 7in., labourer, supposed native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, grey hair and eyes, speaks with a Scotch accent; usually dressed in a grey dirty suit.

Auckland. —21st instant, that he may be compelled to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of George C. Kemp, an inmate of Auckland Industrial School, William George Ringrose, age thirty, height sft. 8 in., sawmill hand, supposed native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes. Arrears to 12th June, 1914, £5. Inquiry by the Education Department, Wellington.

Napier.— lst instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Alfred Linden, age sixty, height 5 ft. 5 in., cook, native of England, stout build, fresh complexion, dark hair turning grey ; wears spectacles; fond of drink. Wellington.— 3rd ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison until order requiring security to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child is complied with, William Charles Hill, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 8 in., steward, native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, brovyn hair going bald, blue eyes, high forehead, one finger-nail deformed; usually dressed in a light-brown suit with patch pockets and leather buttons, straw hat or grey cap, and patent-leather shoes. Accused was ordered to find security in the sums of, himself £SO, and one surety of £SO, but failed to do so.

Wellington.—2oth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for one month in default of paying £6 13s. damages and costs for wilful damage, Alexander Waisenan, age thirty, height 5 ft. 6 in., seaman and painter, native of Finland, medium build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes; speaks broken English.
