Auckland. —On or about the 29th ultimo, from a motorwagon, the property of SAMUEL GIBSON, a Continental motor-tire, “ Size 920 x 135 ” on outside cover, “ No. 793773, X 2 A.R.” and patch inside cover ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Taradale.— lst instant, from a farm at Koropeko, the property of PATRICK BURNS, a lady’s free-wheel RudgeWhitworth bicycle, dent in right handle, front fork bent, rubber pedals; value, £2. Idemifiable. Suspicion is attached to William Leahy, alias King, age about twenty, height 5 ft. 2 in., labourer and driver, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, closes left eye when conversing ; usually dressed in a blue vicuna serge suit with crown-shaped cuffs and pockets. On the 2nd instant the dwelling of LILIAS O’SHEA in Roxburgh Street was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : An eight pointed gold star medal, with “ Otago Boys’ High School, 1893,” on it; a pearl star pendant, about the size of half-a-crown ; a 9 ob. gold locket, pattern of ship’s wheel, set with a pearl at each point, with a photograph of a man and woman inside ; a small tin of green Brazilian beetles; a long gold grannychain; a plain gold oval bangle, with “From B. to Lil ” inside; a child’s plain bangle (broken), chased in front, with “ To Marjory from M. & F.” inside : total value, £lO. Wellington. —On the 2nd instant the dwelling of Ethel Lewis, 28 Roxburgh Street, was broken into, and the following articles, the property of MARY ELIZA LITTLE, stolen therefrom: A lady’s handbag (recovered) ; a lady’s gold dress-ring, set with rubies; a gold-mounted petrifh d-wood brooch; a wedding-ring; a gentleman’s 15ct. gold dressring, originally set with a stone (now missing) ; a gentleman’s heavy gold ring (broken), set with a ruby in clawsetting ; a pair of gold-and-greenstone dumb-bell sleevelinks; six farthings; and a threepenny - piece: total value, £9. Wellington. —On the 2nd instant the dwelling of WILLIAM HENRY FELLOWS in Roxburgh Street was broken into, and the following artioles stolen therefrom: A Kruger-sovereign tie-pin; a pair of gold dumb-bell and shield sleeve-links ; and a gold-chased bar brooch, set with a ruby in centre : total value, £5 2s. 6d. Rangiora. —Between the 15th ultimo and the Ist instant, from a safe, the property of ARCHER AND SONS, Southbrook, four £5 notes. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Henry George Carlyle, age fifteen, height

Identification doubtful. Suspicion is attached to Arthur Blackwell, age about fifty-four, height 5 ft. sin., medium build, grey hair, bad teeth, drooping lower lip.

Mataura.—On or about the 24th ultimo the shop of STEWART BROTHERS in Bridge Street was broken into, and the sum of £5 in silver coin stolen therefrom. Not identifiable.

Invercargill. —On or about the 25th ultimo, from a shed on THOMAS ROBERT CAPON’S farm at Waihopi Downs, a three-speed Singer motor-bicycle, No. 271504, registered No. I.N.S. 540, 3J horse-power, free engine, tank painted green with red lines, left pedal missing; value, £BO. Identifiable.
