WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, regulations (hereinafter termed “ the said regulations ”) were made under the

Animals Protection Act, 1908, prescribing the conditions under which certain red and fallow deer may be destroyed in the Otago Acclimatization District: And whereas it is deemed expedient to amend the said regulations : Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, do hereby amend the said regulations by repealing No. 4 thereof and substituting the following:— 4. The said Secretary may, with the authority of the said society, issue licenses to sell during the currency of these regulations deer destroyed pursuant to these regulations, and the meat of such deer. Such licenses shall be in the form in the Schedule hereto, and the fee payable therefor shall be £2 for each license. 4a. The said Secretary shall immediately on the issue of a license to sell deer forward a notification thereof to the Minister of Internal Affairs.

SCHEDULE. License to sell Deer. [Name in full], of [ Residence and calling], having this day paid the sum of two pounds (£2), is hereby licensed to sell deer and deer meat within the Otago Acclimatization District during the months of , and within seven days thereafter, subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection Act, 1908.
