ABSCONDERS FROM INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS.

From St. Joseph’s Orphanage. Takapuna.— 2sth ultimo, Allan McCorquindale, age eighteen, height about 4 ft- 7 in., farm hand, native of New Zealand, strong build, pale complexion, brown hair and eyes, full features ; dressed in a blue suit, and wearing a black-felt or straw hat.

From Burnham Industrial School. Lincoln. —l6th ultimo, Frederick Joseph Carr, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 6in., seaman and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes ; horse’s head and shoe, woman’s bust, and harp and flowers on right arm; “ s.s. Tyrone,” “Nell,” lifebuoy, and anchor on left arm. Clothing marked “ 174.” (See Police Gazette, 1914, page 82.)

Lincoln.— 2Bth ultimo, Walter Hunter, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 6in., showman, bandsman, or labourer, aboriginal, broad face, copper complexion, straight black hair, dark-brown eyes, tip of left middle finger missing. Clothingmarked “170.” Shirt, flannel, and socks marked “ 138,”

Lincoln.—24th ultimo, Reginald Frederick John Meyer, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, boil over left eye, scar on left thigh, mole near left eye, small scar on left upper arm. Lincoln.— 3lst October, 1914, David Herbert Sisson, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 6 in., coachbuilder and labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, round chubby face, fresh complexion, brown eyes and hair. Clothing marked “ 150.” (See Police Gazette, 1914, page 185.)

Lincoln.— 3oth July, 1914, Alfred Ernest Smith, alias Watson, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, narrow forehead. One upper tooth missing. (See Police Gazette, 1914, page 364.)

Lincoln. —l4th November, 1914, Nimrod Bendigo Fred Smith, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 6 in., farm labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, fair complexion, light-brown hair, brown eyes, scars on left foot and both calves. Clothing marked “ 105.”

Lincoln. —4th instant, William Kelly, age nineteen, height 5 ft. B|in., labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, dark hair and complexion, grey eyes, long nose, full lips, scar on chin and on right side of nose. Clothingmarked “ 130.”

Lincoln. —4th instant, Herbert Clarence Donaldson, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 7 in., vanman and labourer, native of New Zealand, fair complexion, light-brown hair, blue-grey eyes, large nose. Clothing marked “ 163.”

Lincoln. —7th instant, Francis Patrick Rodden, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, fresh complexion, sandy hair, blue-grey eyes ; a good whistler. Clothing marked “ 89.”

Lincoln. —7th instant, Walter Patterson Quintall, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of Norfolk Island, slim build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, mole on right upper arm, scars on each knee, on right shin, and on left shoulder, two burn-marks on left leg. Lincoln. —11th October, 1914, Harold Allan Nicholson, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 7in., labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, pale complexion, blue eyes, dark.

brown hair, long scar near left eye, small scar on nose, irregular tooth in right upper jaw ; impediment in speech. Clothing marked “ 98.”

Lincoln.— llth October, 1914, Robert James, age sixteen, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, thin build, fresh complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, small mouth. Clothing marked “ 120.”

Lincoln. —25th November last, Alex Glen Reid Cole, age seventeen, height 5 ft. 2 in., jockey and labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, fair hair, hazel eyes, eight false teeth (gold one on left side), boil-scar on back of neck. Clothing marked “ 118.”

Lincoln. —25th November, 1914, Edward Donovan, age fifteen, height 5 ft. 6in., farm labourer, native of New Zealand, well built, pale complexion, hazel eyes, pointed nose, good teeth. Clothing marked “ 102.”
