He may assume the name T. Bailey.

Te Awamutu. —3oth January last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for seven days in default of paying £3 6s. fine and costs for being drunk and disorderly, Joseph Eustage, age about twenty-six, height about sft. 9in., labourer and shearer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, light-brown hair; sometimes dresses like a cowboy. BJiD., traveller, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes ; scar on nose, on left forearm, and on left ring-finger ; about two weeks’ growth of hair on upper lip ; dressed in light trousers with dark stripes, dark-tweed coat, no vest, brown sweater, and brown-felt hat. Wanganui. —23rd November last, on warrant for forgery, Hilray de Garis, alias Harry Curtis, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of Channel Islands, slight build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, black moustache ; addicted to drink. He looks like an Italian. Accused forged the name “Tolley and Co., H. Tolley ” to a cheque for £3 155., drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, Taumarunui, in favour of Harry Curtis, and uttered it to W. E. Holliday, Chevannes Hotel. There are other charges pending. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 229.)

Palmerston North.— 24th November last, on warrant for making a false declaration under the Marriage Act, Patrick or Christopher Davis Galgey, age about twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of England, strong build, dark complexion, brown hair. Accused, who is a married man, knowingly and wilfully made a false declaration for the purpose of procuring a Registrar’s certificate with a view to contracting a marriage with one Mildred Eliza Symes. He left the Dominion on the 12th ultimo with the Expeditionary Force.
