PERSONS WANTED.

Dargaville.— 9th October last, on warrant of commitment to Dargaville Police-gaol for seven days in default of paying HI 7s. fine and costs for drunkenness while in charge of a horse, Martin Conroy, alias McKetterick, age thirty, height 5 ft. 2 in., stableman, native of Australia, medium build, brown hair ; dressed in dark clothes and soft hat.

Auckland.— llth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Rotoroa Inebriates Home, Arthur Postlewaight, age forty-three, height sft. BJin., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, florid complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes. He failed to appear in answer to a summons for a breach of his prohibition order, and was committed to Rotoroa for twelve months. (See Police Gazette , 1914, page 683.)

Auckland. —l7th October last, for breaking and entering the dwelling of Alice Cunningham, at Devonport, with intent to commit a crime therein and assaulting her, Man (name unknown), age about thirty, short, medium build, dark moustache; dressed in dark clothes and soft green hat, and wearing a double ourb gold watch-chain with a square locket in centre. He was also carrying an umbrella. No warrant.

Auckland. — 14th ultimo, on warrant for breaking and entering the dwelling of James Yugler, school-teacher, 63 Grange Road, and stealing therefrom goods to the value of

Ngaruawahia. Edward Thomas Hughes, alias Wilson, alias Saule, failing to comply with the terms of his probationary license : Offender’s license has been cancelled by Governor’s warrant. Hamilton.— l6th November last, on warrant for false pretences, Harry Barton, name probably fictitious, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., aboriginal, native of New Zealand, strong build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, cast in left eye ; dressed in a dark grey suit, tan leggings and boots, and dark-grey-felt hat. Accused obtained a suit-case, value £1 10s., from Edward Jones, saddler, Hamilton, by falsely representing that he was the brother of a well-known Maori named Reid Barton.

Gisborne. —2nd November last, on warrant of commitment to Gisborne Prison for one month in default of paying £7 10s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife and children, William Moar, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. ll|in., labourer, native of New Zealand, thin strong build, fair complexion, fair curly hair, large scar on left shin, portion of left little finger missing. He has failed to appear in answer to a summons. He was photographed on the 2nd July, 1906. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 256.)

Napier. —2nd ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £lO 3s. 9d. balance of fine and oosts for mischief, Russell Hale, age twenty, height 5 ft. 6 in., engineer, native of New Zealand, thin build, pale complexion, brown hair and eyes. Hastings. —llth ultimo, on warrant for deserting his wife, Walter Pulford Warren, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 5 in., chauffeur, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, soar on right side of neck, burn-mark on left side of neck ; smart appearance. Dannevirke. —On or about the 3rd October last, for theft of a gun (recovered) and two fishing-rods, total value £4 55., from the dwelling of Mrs. Fritz Jensen, Victoria Avenue, Li. Johnston (name probably fictitious), age about twentysix, height about oft. 6 in., slim build, fresh complexion, brown hair; fairly well dressed. No warrant.

Wellington. —l6th ultimo, that he may be located and warned that unless he complies with the conditions of his release, his probationary license will be cancelled, Albert Edward Yates, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 10J in., labourer, native of New Zealand, fair complexion, lightbrown hair, grey eyes, large scar on side of face and upper lip, and on lobe of right ear, left eyebrow disfigured, (See Police, Qazette, 1913, page 568.)
