PERSONS WANTED.

♦ Freeman's Bay.— llth instant, for indecently assaulting Ethel Mildred Norma Berry, a Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 10 in., thin build, long thin face, bad a few days’ growth of beard ; dressed in a dark suit and large cap ; no collar or tie. No warrant.

Auckland. —27th ultimo, on warrant for theft from a dwelling of a watch, guard, two medals, and two razors, value £7 17s. 6d. (recovered), the propeity of John Holmes, J. Wilson (name probably fictitious), labourer, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., strong build, ruddy complexion, brown hair. The name is that given by the man who pledged the articles at Mendelsohn’s pawn-office.

Auckland. —22nd June last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Pris-on for fourteen days in default of paying £4 7s. Bd. fine and costs for a breach of the by-laws, Thomas Parker, labourer, native of New Zealand, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. BJin., fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, flower-pot and flower on left forearm, scar on left leg. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 347.)

Auckland.— 27th June last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £3 3s. for a breach of his prohibition order, Frank Blades, seaman, native of England, age thirty-seven, height sft. 2Jin., medium build, fresh complexion, hazel eyes ; ships, crossed flags, and anchor on right arm ; wreath and “F. 8.” on left forearm. Auckland. —31st March last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for four days in default of paying £1 6s. balance of fine and costs for a breach of the City By-laws, Daniel McCurdy, motor - driver, native of Ireland, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, dark complexion, brown hair turning grey, hazel eyes; usually dressed in a dark-brown suit and soft hat.

Hamilton. —10th instant, on four warrants of commitment to Auckland Prison for (1) seven days in default of paying £1 3s. fine and costs for drunkenness, (2) seven days in default of paying £1 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, (3) seven days in default of paying £1 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, and (4) forty-eight hours in default of paying 10s. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, John Fox, labourer, native of Scotland, age forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair, hazel eyes, sandy moustache ; speaks in a low voice.

Ongarue.— - 10th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £SO 6s. fine and costs for sly-grog selling, John Fulljames, shop assistant and labourer, native of New Zealand, age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 5 in., slight build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, good address ; usually dressed in a black suit and a greenish bowler hat.

New Plymouth. —27th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to New Plymouth Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 Os. 6d. medical expenses incurred while on remand for helpless drunkenness, David McGhee, alias McGee, grocer and labourer, native of Australia, age thirty-five, height sft. sin., medium build, florid complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, small mole on right cheek; slovenly appearance ; fond of drink. Palmerston North. —7th instant, on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 3s. fine and costs for drunkenness, William Heaps, labourer, native of Scotland, age thirty-four, height sft. 2Jin., medium build, florid complexion, brown hair, blue eyes; slouching gait; slovenly appearance. He is identical with David Stratton, alias Healey, alias William Heap, referred to in Police Gazette, 1913, page 552.

Carterton.— sth instant, on warrant for failing without reasonable cause to provide his wife with adequate maintenance, Charles Leevard, labourer and shearer, native of Australia, age forty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in,, slim build, fair fresh complexion, very fair hair and moustache, blue eyes, shot-marks on side of face; usually dressed in dark-green trousers, dark coat and vest, and hard black hat. Complainant, Elizabeth Ellen Grace Leevard, Masterton.

Wellington. —2nd instant, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for fourteen days for having failed to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of her child, Alice Parker, domestic servant and reputed prostitute, native of New Zealand, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. ljin., medium build, pale complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, scar on right groin ; usually dressed in a dark-green costume and heavy black veil; fond of drink. Arrears to 16th May last, £3 12s. 6d. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 442.)

Annat.— Emma Louisa McCausland, inquired for: She may be found in company with George Dakill, who has assumed the name George Bane, and was last heard of at Milton. His name is not Dakiee, as was previously stated. (See Police Gazette, 1914, page 560.)

Christchurch. —14th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Lyttelton Prison for twenty-four hours in default of paying Bs. fine and costs for drunkenness, John Farrell, blacksmith, native of New Zealand, age twenty-two, height sft. 5 in., stout build, fair complexion and hair, grey eyes.

Temuka. —lßth instant, on warrant for failing to make provision for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Henry James Henderson, farm labourer, native of New Zealand, age twenty-six, height about sft. 10in., good build, dark complexion, black hair, cleanshaved, scar on nose. Complainant, Anne Martin, Levels.

Oamaru.— l2th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his three children, John O’Connor, labourer, native of New Zealand, age about thirty-six, height 6ft,, medium build, fair complexion, auburn hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a brown suit and felt hat; slovenly walk; melancholy disposition. Arrears to 26th ultimo, £6.

Invercargill. —6th ultimo, that a notice of fine of £5 for a breach of the Defence Act may be served upon him, William Taylor, labourer, native of New Zealand, age nineteen, height 5 ft. in., medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, clean-shaved.
