♦ Freeman's Bay.— llth instant, for indecently assaulting Ethel Mildred Norma Berry, a Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 10 in., thin build, long thin face, bad a few days’ growth of beard ; dressed in a dark suit and large cap ; no collar or tie. No warrant.

Auckland. —27th ultimo, on warrant for theft from a dwelling of a watch, guard, two medals, and two razors, value £7 17s. 6d. (recovered), the propeity of John Holmes, J. Wilson (name probably fictitious), labourer, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., strong build, ruddy complexion, brown hair. The name is that given by the man who pledged the articles at Mendelsohn’s pawn-office.

New Plymouth. —27th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to New Plymouth Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 Os. 6d. medical expenses incurred while on remand for helpless drunkenness, David McGhee, alias McGee, grocer and labourer, native of Australia, age thirty-five, height sft. sin., medium build, florid complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, small mole on right cheek; slovenly appearance ; fond of drink. Carterton.— sth instant, on warrant for failing without reasonable cause to provide his wife with adequate maintenance, Charles Leevard, labourer and shearer, native of Australia, age forty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in,, slim build, fair fresh complexion, very fair hair and moustache, blue eyes, shot-marks on side of face; usually dressed in dark-green trousers, dark coat and vest, and hard black hat. Wellington. —2nd instant, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for fourteen days for having failed to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of her child, Alice Parker, domestic servant and reputed prostitute, native of New Zealand, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. ljin., medium build, pale complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, scar on right groin ; usually dressed in a dark-green costume and heavy black veil; fond of drink.
