EXTRACTS FROM NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

(From Gazette , 1914, pages 2734 and 2737.) Part of the Mangawharariki Stream and its Bed declared a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game. LIVERPOOL, Governor. PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported or native game shall be taken or killed in the said area.

SCHEDULE. All that area in the Wellington Land District, being the Mangawharariki Stream and its bed, extending up the said stream eastwards from the bridge on the Kawhatau Road near its mouth for a distance of about one mile, from the point marked A to the point marked B on the plan numbered LA. 25/5 (21), deposited in the office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen. H. D. BELL, Minister of Internal Affairs.
