PERSONS WANTED.

Auckland.— l2th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £36 15s. arrears due on a. order for the support of his chil r f p in St. Robert Keeper, ege forty-six, height 5 ft. sJin., cook, native of New Zealand, strojig build, fresh complexion, dark-brown W®, hazel eyes Marge nose, scar at side of right eye and on lck# forefinger ana-thumb. Auckland. —l9th ultimo, on warrant for assaulting Lena Pullar, domestic, 7 Montague Stieet, Auckland, and causing her actual bodily harm, Charles Armstrong,

age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 8£ in., labourer, native rf New Zealand, medium build, grey eyes, rose and two buds on left handym art on left thumb; d«§eseddn suit a? d soft i lack hat. He may be in Zim^ny— with Rachel Smith, referred to in Police able to give seme evidence as to the assault. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 69.)

Hamilton. —l3th October last, on warrant for false pretence-, Charles Ernest age about thirty-eight, height 5 ft. Bin., sallow complexion, dark hair, nervouj; manner, noticeable by movements of hfmds ; smart ing a morning-coat. Accused obtained £1 15s. from Joseph Ba 1 Hooper, hotelkeeper, by means--'of* a valueless bill of exchange on the National Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, for £2 Is.

Hamilton. —25th ultimo, on warrant for theft of £27 19s. 11 £d., the property of Sydney Jones/ contractor, Collingwood Sire®, Walter Davis, age fLfss, height 5 ft. 10in., concr£kt3 supposed native of America, swarthy oerfnplexion, strong build, black eyes, 14 stone weight, very bald, full hard face, cut on bridge of nose; dressed in faded light suit ahe} d<4)) soft bat; fond of drink. He is known in Wellington, as he was mixed up in a divorce caste there a few years ago-. Accuse $ and complainant were copartners in a contract. When the work was completed, accused received the cheque due, cached it, and cleared out without paying complainant his share.

Te Kuiti. —19’h ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paving £57 6s. fine and costs for keeping liquor for sale, Charles Ernest Meyenberg, age about forty, height 6 ft., stockdealer, supposed native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, fair moustache, slightly stooped, slow movements ; respectable appearance; wearing a faded brown suit. He is a married man, well known in Taranaki, and his home is supposed to be at Stratford.

Taumarunui. —12th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for four days in default of paying £1 13 s . balance of fine and costs for drunkenness, Hugh Milligan or Mulligan, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 3Jin., labourer, native of Ireland, strong build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes; addicted to drink. Thomson tol for £47 11s. on the- Bank of New Zealand, Pahiatrua, and uttered the same to John Haves Powell, Makuri. He was going under the name Alfred Thomson, and is supposed to have gone to Palmerston North. His parents reside at Westport and his wife at Cambridge. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 23.)

Post Chalmers.-- -On the 21st ultimo, at 4 30 p.m., Vera Hodge, a child of five years of age, was enticed into the bush and raped. Suspicion is attached to Allan McDonald, age nineteen, height sf r . 8 in., seama i, native of Mew Zealand, respectable appearance, fair complexion, dark hair; usually dressed in dark-grev suit. He has been interviewed by the police, but the complainant who is very shy, either would not or could not identify him. He was seen about the locality shortly before the offence was committed, and there is little doubt that he c mmuted the offence. He resides with his parents in Port Chalmers.
