Auckland.— 2nd ultimo, from the person of JOHN MORRISON, labourer, care of Railway Department, Taumarunui, a gentleman’s open-face silver English lever watch, No. 25425, “ John Duncan Rothsay ” on dial; value, £6. Identifiable.

Auckland. —23rd ultimo, from Manukau Road, the property of FREDERICK THORNE, labourer, care of City Council, a new black oilskin coat with a velvet collar, “ Eddiertone 4252” stamped inside; value, £1 ss. Identifiable.

Newton. —Between 3.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. on ths 27th ultimo, the shop of CHARLIE TIE, laundryman, Karangahape Road, was broken into, and the following articles stolen : five Mexican dollars, two twenty-cent Chinese coins, a pair of socks, and about £2 9s. in silver and copper ; total value, about £3 10s. Identification doubtful.

Mount Eden. —Between 10 a.m. and 10.30 p.m. on the 27th ultimo, the shop of SHOON LEE, laundryman, Symonds Street, was broken into, and the following articles stolen: a twenty-five cent American coin, three new pocketknives, and 17s. in silver and copper; total value, £1 3s. American coin only identifiable.

Onehunga. —Between the 12th and 14th ultimo, from the s.s. “ Rarawa,” the property of CAPTAIN NORBURY, a large pair of binoculars, painted black; value, £5. Identifiable.

Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to William Bailey, alias Walter Clues, a hawker, referred to in Police Gazette, 1910, page 17,'and two other men. First: Age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 3 in., medium build, light-brown hair, red face, one leg crippled ; dressed in dark clothes. Second: Age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 7 in., fair complexion, light-brown hair.

Papakura. —2Bth May last, from the lamp-room at Drury Railway-station, the property of the RAILWAY DEPARTMENT, a porter’s uniform coat, a table-of-fares book, and 10s. Id. in money; total value, £2 2s. Id. Not identifiable.

Napier. —Between 7.40 p.m. and 10.45 p.m. on the 19th ultimo, the dwelling of D. W. HURSTPIOUSE, engineer, Shakespeare Road, was broken into, and the following articles stolen: A plain gold band bracelet, engraved inside “ Janie Kirk from Dan,” and the date ; a gold cable bracelet, without padlock; an amethystneicklet, with gold chaiu and amethyst dropb; •beliotrope/tfimetian necklace; a string of pink-coral beads4/a/-s|tring.of fjink imitation coral beads ; a small plain .silver -\vi istlct-v/jyfch, English figures, with figure “12” in'red, narrow green-leather straps with silver buckle; a small plain/dark-®ak clock; a Rhine-stone pendant, with chain attached ; an electric flashlight lamp ; and £2 in gold : total value, £23 14s. O. B. A.” on front and “ Won by W. Pengelly ” and date on back ; and a round-shaped gold-mounted photo-pendant, with photo of man on one side and photo of boy on the other side; total value, £5. MELVILLE’S stolen property: John Smith and William James Matthews, alias James Lynch, have been arrested for this offence by DetectiveSergeant Connolly and Acting-Detectives Hammerly and Hail, Dunedin police.
