Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Between the sbh February last and the sth ultimo, from the New Zealaud Express C>mpany’s store, the property of CATHERINE MURRAY PALGRAVE, Brighton R>ad, Parnell, a plain gold-bar brooch, “K. M. G.” engraved thereon; a gold brooch with enamelled flowers; a pair of opera-glasses, with “ Presented to Kate Grant ” engraved thereon ; a dozen siwer tea-spoons; two pairs of trousers; and a vest: total value, £25. Identifiable.

Auckland. ROBERT DUNSMUIR’S stolen biovcle : Charles Windle, alias F. Lilley, alias Harold Thom Tnomas, has been arrested for this offence by Detective Sweeney and Acting-Detective Cullen, Auckland police. The bicycle has nob been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 137.)

Auckland. —W. R. TWIGG’S stolen bicycle: Charles Windle, alias F. Lilley, alias Harold Thom Thomas has been arrested for this offence by Detective Sweeney and Acting-Detective Cummings, Auckland p lice. 'The bicycle has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1913, page 137.)

Auckland.—lsth ultimo, from the dwelling of SARAH RIPIKOI, boardinghouse-keeper, 426 Queen Street, a ladies’ silver open-face watch, No. 28620, gold hands, gold flowers on dial; value, £l. Identifiable.

Auckland. 3rd ultimo, from the s.s. “ Waimarie,” between Kopu and Auckland, the property of JOHN W. T. MACKLOW, chemist, Queen Street, Onehunga; two bowls, brown-stained wood, “ Jacques and Sons, London (makers),” and “ Pair No. 40, Set 35,” engraved on each ; value, £1 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland.—Between Ist December and 27th February last, from the dwelling of WILLIAM COCKRAM, merchant, Trafalgar Street, Onehunga, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with a topaz and two pearls, “ 1897 ” scratched on back ; an 18ct. gold scarf-pin, rope pattern, set with two small pearls; and a silver crescent brooch, set with red and green Scotch pebbles: total value, £4 16s. identifiable.

Frankton Junction. —l2th ultimo, from the Grand Private Hoi el. the property of JAMES HARRISON, Hamilton, a gent emen’s open-face metal watch, “ Maker, Morris,” on dial ; a 9ot. gold chain, similar to No. 28 (see Police. Gazette, 1911, page 2); a small imitation cameo pendant, gold mounted, with picture of a woman in front; a 9 ct. gold sovereign-case; a sovereign, a half-sovereign, and 13s. in silver: total value, £lO Bs. 6d. Identifiable, except cash. Suspicion is attached to IV. Irving, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., supposed bushrnan, medium build, fair hair and complexion; good looking, active appearance; dressed in dark suit and soft-felt hat. Suspect shared a bedroom with complainant.

Hawera. —13th February last, the property of ALBERT SIMPKINS, jockey, a gentlemen’s gold double case Elgin lever watch, No. 1G416961 ; value, £5 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Tom Goodger, age about twenty-four, height 5 ft. 6 in., gu< sser, native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion; usually dressed in brown suit and straw hat. He may be identical with Thomas Henry Goodger. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 174.)

Patea. —l7th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Railway Boardinghouse, the property of JOSEPH MOSSOP, a yellow-leather purse, four £1 notes, about ss. in silver, and two postal notes, one for £1 and the other for 10s. Purse only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to James Leonard Lomax, age seventeen, looks older, height 6ft. 1 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, thiu build, coarse light-brown hair, fair complexion, blue eyes, scars on forebead, left hand, and wrist; dressed in dark-tweed suit, grey cap, and ligut-fawn overcoat. Patea. —l7th ultimo, from the Railway Boardinghouse, the property of WILLI AN GORDON DEMPSEY, labourer, four £1 notes and about 10s. in silver. Suspicion is attached to James Leonard Lomax. (For description see preceding paragraph.)

Wanganui. —Between 13th and 16th ultimo, from a paddock at Brunswick, the property of CHARLES BRUNGaR, labourer, a chestnut mare, aged, 15 hands, white spot on forehead and white tip on nose, shod all round; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. 23rd ultimo, the property of JOSEPH HOLLIS, mill hand, Kakahi, Taumarunui, a gentlemen’s 9 ct. or 18 ct. gold keyless Rotherham watch, double case, “ Presented to J. Hollis by the Settlers of Kartiehi ” inscribed inside case, and a 9 ct. gold fetter chain ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Levin. —Between the 22nd and 24th ultimo, the shop of FREDERICK JOSEPH GLACKIN, jeweller, was broken into and the following jewellery stolen : A gentlemen’s silver O.F. watch, “Dennison” stamped on case, works-number probably about 115573 or 5 ; a rolled-gold O.F.K. watch, time-ball brand, white dial, may have “ Dennison ” on works ; a ladies’ silver O.F.K. watch, flat-top winder, plain case, convex glass, “ Moeris ” make; six ladies’ silver O.F.K. watches, white dials, engraved cases; four ladies’ gun-metal O.F.K. watches, plain cases ; six nickel O F. watches, white dials, gold hands, keyless, “Moeris patent ” on works ; two ladies’ gun-metal O.F.K. watches, very thin, pull top to set hands; a ladies’ silver wristlet O.F.K. watch, small, with silver loop at each side ; brown strap; six gentlemen’s signet rings, various designs, of plain gold shields (round, &c.), 9 ct. and 18 ct.; a9ct. gold signet ring, set with whitish stone; a ladies’ fine gold ring, “ Mizpah ” across it; six ladies’ stone rings, set with diamonds, sapphires, or rubies; eleven brooches, various, plain and stone ; one pair sleeve-links, gold-engraved; a solid-gold bracelet, three amethysts; a gold curb bangle, each link heavily chased, value £5 10s.; a gold curb bangle, alternate links chased; two plain gold curb bangles ; a bangle with fine chain each side of gold letters “ Remembrance,” small blue stone on fastener; eight gold chain necklets; four sovereign-cases, plain silver; a greenstone chain, with gold shield in centre, joined gold links between greenstone pieces. All new goods: total value, £l3O. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —2oth ultimo, from outside Westbury’s shop in Railway Avenue, the property cf OWEN DENNEHY, labourer, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. bicycle,

24 in. frame, fixed wheel, straight handle-bars, Brooks saddle broken black-celluloid grips, mud-guard on front wheel; value, £3. Identifiable.

St. Andrew’s. —Between the 20th nnd 22nd ultimo, from the dwelling of ALEXANDER GOODALL, school-teacher, Makikihi, a heavy grey-check woollen travelling-rug; a pair of boots, size 9 ; a hard black hat, size 6s, “ H. G.” ins de ; a pair of Kaiapoi ribbed underpants ; a round silver sovereign-case ; a brown-morocco silver-mounted purse ; an old brown-leather puri-e, brass-mounted ; a suede purse; and about £8 10s. in money : total value, £l3 11s. Identifiable, except money.
