ALSTON, hairdresser, Ararnoho, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: Three Eclipse watches, four Altona razors, five silver match-boxes, two metal sovereigncases, six G.B.D. pipes, three tobacco-pouches, and two cigarette - holders; total value, £9 10s. G.R.” on back of case, and three sovereigns; total value, £l7 10s. Watch identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Haynes (name probably fictitious), age thirty, height 5 ft. 9 in., supposed printer, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair and moustache, sharp features ; dressed in a dark suit. Suspect pawned the gold watch and chain at John Griffiths’s pawnshop.

N. L.” in monogram on outside of case; and a silk-ribbon fob guard with gold clasp on fine chain, with gold buckle and
