APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Mount Eden (Auckland.)— Peter McGuire, inquired for, nas written to his wife from Hamilton. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 632.)

Gisborne. John Birkett, ship-desertion : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 527.)

Levin. —John William Anderson, default of fine, has been arrested by Detectives Lewis and Andrews, Wellington police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 548.)

Wellington.— Samuel Mortimer, ship-desertion, has been arrested by Acting Detective Mason, Wellington police, and sentenced to one month. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 450.)

Wellington. —W. Evans, absent without leave from the s.s. “Ruahine,” was arrested by Constable Sleeth, Wellington police, and sentenced to fourteen days. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 630.)

Lyttelton.— Y. Aldwinkel, ship-desertion, has been arrested by Senior-Sergeant Rutledge and Constable MoKelvey, Mount Cook and Clyde Quay police, and sentenced to one month. (See Police Gazette, 1912, pages 66 and 104.)

Christchurch.- Bridget Wiltshire, default of maintenance, has been located by Constable Nixon, Greymouth police. She is now boarding at the Trafalgar Hotel, Greymouth, and going under the name of “ Madam Sonia.” (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 600.)

Oamaru. Robert Lambert Waterworth, alias John Wildes, disobeying maintenance order, has been served with a summons by Constable Brown, Masterton police. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 584.)

Port Chalmers. —G. Gaffin and E. Lynch, shipdesertion: Warrants cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 330.)

Mosgiel. —Robert Yesey, absconding from industrial school, has bean arrested by Constable Lemm, Naseby police and returned to the school. (See Police Gazette, 1912,’ page 452.)

Dunedin.- George Thomas Buckley, failing to obey the terms of his release, has paid tbe amount due to Constable Kyne, Hawera polioe. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 526.)

Winton.— Arthur Thorburn, default of maintenance, has been interviewed by Constable Hammond, Wellington police, and has promised to pay off arrears. He is now working for Anthony Wall, Plimmerton. (See Police Gazette, 1912, page 614.) He is identical with man of same name, see Police Gazette, 1910, page 440, and 1911, pages 174 and 368.
