(From Gazette, 1912, r ages 3294, 3302, 3309, and 3314.) Greymouth Prison ■proclaimed. (1.5.) ISLINGTON, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is provided that the Governor may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare any house, building, enclosure, or place to be a prison, and from and after the gazetting of any such Proclamation, or from any later time specified in the Proclamation, such house, building, enclosure, or place shall be deemed a prison : Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the buildings erected upon the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and all enclosures used or occupied therewith, shall, from and after the publication of this Proclamation in the Gazette, be a prison, known as the Greymouth Prison, within the meaning and for the purposes of the Prisons Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE. All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 1 of Reserve No. 703, Block 111, Town of Greymouth North. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-western side of Gresson Street, distant 355-9 links from its junction with the south-eastern side of Arney Street; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of Gresson Street, distance 90 links ; thence bearing 206° 16' 43", distance 82-08 links; bearing 116° 16'43", distance 47-19 links ; bearing 206° 16' 43", distance 50-99 links; bearing 116° 16' 43", distance 43-49 links; bearing 206° 16'43", distance 61-95 linlts; bearing 296° 16' 43", distance 180-68 links; and bearing 26° 16' 43", distance 194-98 links, to the place of commencement. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve. WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, declare that any prison or police-gaol shall no longer be a prison or police-gaol; and upon the gazetting of such Proclamation, or from and after any later date fixed in such Proclamation for the purpose, such prison or policegaol shall cease to be a prison or police-gaol: Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that, from and after the gazetting of this

Proclamation, the police-gaol at Greymouth, in the Provincial District of Westland, shall cease to be a police-gaol. Amending Regulations for Trout, Carp, and Perch Fishing in the Waimarino Acclimatization District. ISLINGTON, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of November, 1912. Present : His Excellency the Governor, in Council. WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twentyeighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77, of the first day of October following, regulations were made for trout, carp, and perch fishing in the Waimarino Acclimatization District: And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add the following proviso to Regulation No. 4 of the hereinbefore-recited regulations : Provided that it shall be unlawful to fish with the houhou (or matai grub) or the creeper. Small Lake at Waikari, Canterbury, to be a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game. ISLINGTON, Governor. PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the small lake situated near the Waimate Road, Waikari, and being more particularly on Rural Sections Nos. 24073 and 24202, Waipara Survey District, containing 3 acres, more or less, the property of Mr. Henry T. Matthews, shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.
