Auckland. 6th ultimo, from a bedroom in Alderton’s Boardinghouse, a gentlemen’s silver op* n-faced watch, No. 26208, with “ La Trobe, College Green, Bristol,” on dial, value £2, the property of JOHN WRIGHT ; and a ladies’ silver open-faced watch, value £l, the property of BURKETT GERMAN. Both watches are identifiable.

Auckland. —Between Bth and 9th ultimo, from a boatshed at Judge’s Bay, the property of HENRY VIVIAN OHOYCE, a suit of clothes ; a fancy waistcoat; a bunch of keys; a gentlemen’s 15ct. grid chain, fetter and-three ovals pattern (see No. 22 of Illustrations); a set of 9ct. gold sleeve-links, Iplain oval pattern : total value, £4 10s. The suit, waistcoat., and keys have been recovered ; remaining articles identifiable.

Mount Eden. — Between the 13th and 23rd ultimo the dwelling of AMOS HENRY JAQUES, printer, was broken into and a ladies’ 18 cc. gold half-hoop ring, set with five diamonds (see No. 75 of Illustrations), value £8 10s., 3tolen. Identifiable.

Remuera. sth instant, the dwelling of WILLIAM GREER FLETCHER, Deputy Commissioner of Stamps, was broken into, and the following articles stolen: A 9ct. gold bangle, with imitation buckle on side; a Kruger sovereign ; a gold double-bar brooch, with scroll on side ; a Savage Club badge; and a Gem safety-razor: total value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Hamilton. —l2th ultimo, from the dwelling of ROBERT SMITH, a gentlemen’s silver bunting lever watch, No. 204754, owner’s name scratched on back of case ; and small curbpattern rolled-gold watch-chain: total value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. — On or about 13th ultimo, from the s.s. “ Marama,” between Wellington and Lyttelton, the property of ROBERT LOGAN, Ballarat, Victoria, a brownleather Gladstone bag, containing the following articles : A dark-tweed suit; two white shirts ; three soft coloured shirts ; two pairs grey underpants ; a dozen white-linen collars ; two pairs black socks; a pair dark-striped trousers; a gold nugget tie-pin; a book, entitled “ Sheet-metal Worker ”; a pair of nickel-plated pipe-tongs, branded “ Hardley and Hardley ” : total value, £ll. The Gladstone bag, tie-pin, book, and pipe-tongs only are identifiable.

Timabu.— 9th instant, from Wai-iti Road, the property of GLADYS CLARKE, typiste, a ladies’ B S.A. bicycle, blackenamelled, wide handle-bars, black and white grips, brakes broken ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Port Chalmers. —27th ultimo, from the s.s. “ Rakaia,” the property of GEORGE TELFORD, steward, a gentlemen’s keyless rolled-gold watch, No. 409919, and a silkribbon guard with rolled-gold shield in centre and rolled gold keepers at ends; value, £6. Watch only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Arthur Bartholomew , age thirty, height sft. Sin., dark complexion, eyes, and moustache. He was quartermaster on s.s. “Rakaia” from Timaru to Lyttelton.

Dunedin.— 3rd instant, from the dwelling of THOMAS MORRIS, farmer, Anderson’s Bay, £3 in gold and silver coin. Suspicion attached to Charles John Sharp, age fifteen, tall for age, native of New Zealand, medium build, pale complexion, thin features, grey eyes, upturned nose, decayed teeth; dressed in dark knickers and grey cap.
