APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland.— Eleanor E. Christian, alias Williams’ false pretences, has been arrested by Acting-Detective J. Powell, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 23.)

Auckland. Urban Booth, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Detective E. W. Scott and Acting-Detective P. Cullen, Auckland police, on information supplied by Constable Woodley, Waihi police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 377.)

Auckland. — Thomas Chappell has been served with a copy of minute of order by Sergeant Keep, Newton police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 499.)

Auckland.— John Morton Wylie, deserter from H.M.S. “Powerful,” has been arrested by Constable W. Berry, Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 117.)

Auckland. —Robert Ferguson, alias Hutchenson, default of fine and costs, has been located by Detectives Hammond and Kemp, Wellington police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 223.)

Auckland. — Mary Kilgour has been found in Auck land. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 536.)

Ponsonby.— Owen Dewar has returned to his home (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 110.)

Onehunga. — A. P. Roscoe, false pretences, has been arrested by Detective Gibson, Christchurch police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 507.) He is identical with Frederick Hughes, alias Alexander Chadwick. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 474, and 1908, page 492.)

Gisborne. Robert Hastie, inquired for, has been found drowned. His body was washed up on the beach at Gisborne. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 40.)

Hawera. — Frank Blake, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Detective Connolly, Gisborne police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 45.)

Bull’s. — William Robertson, theft, has been arrested by Constable Breen, Bull’s police, and the case withdrawn. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 37.)

Tenui. — Frank Saunders, theft: Warrant cancelled. The property was recovered at the Prince of Wales’s Stables, Masterton, where they were left by Saunders. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 37.)

Wellington.— Thomas Wilson and Alfred Edwin Hall, wilfully damaging stores on the s.s. “ Athenic ” : Wilson was arrested by Constable Richard Murray, Wellington police. The warrant for Hall has been cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 46.)

Wellington. — Robert Weir, disobeying order of Court, has been arrested by Constable Reilly, Newton police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 90.)

Christchurch. Alexander Chadwick, false pretences, has been arrested by Detective Gibson, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1908, pages 412 and 492.) He is identical with A. P. Roscoe, alias Hughes. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 474, and Apprehensions, this issue of Gazette.)

Christchurch.— Frederick Chappell, default of costs for medical expenses has been arrested by Constable J. Cleary, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 38.)

Christchurch. Francis H. Williams, false pretences, has been arrested by Detectives Kemp and Hammond, Wellington police, and ordered to come up when called on. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 56.)

Christchurch.— Jack Rains, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable J. J. O’Grady, Ashburton police, on information supplied by Constable J. Cleary, Christchurch police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 46.)

Oamaru. — J. McNeilly, alias Robert McNeilly, and P. Fryer, alias Victor Fryer, ship-desertion : Warrants cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 38.)

Dunedin. — Samuel Dunstan, absentee from the s.s. “ Rimutaka,” has been arrested by Constable J. Donovan, Waimate police, on information supplied by Constable J. N. Thomson, Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 46.)

Dunedin.— Peter Schmidt, ship-desertion, has been arrested by Constables McClinchy and Donovan, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 46.)

Invercargill.— Thomas Leonard, disobeying order of Court, has been arrested by Constable W. Nugent, Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 25.)

Sydney. — James Louis Nitchie, deserter from H.M.S. “Psyche,” has been arrested. (See Police Gazette, 1910, pages 28 and 462.)

Melbourne.— John F. Mclntosh, deserter from H.M.S. “Psyche,” has returned on board. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 48.)
