Auckland. provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Leonard Richardson, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., draper’s assistant, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion and hair, black moustache, brown eyes ; dressed in navy-blue suit and black hard hat. He was formerly employed by Milne and Choyce, drapers, Auckland. He is a married man, and resided at Mount Roskiil. Complainant, Mary Gledstones, Auckland.

The complainant and offender were working together for a farmer near Bull’s.

Tinui. —29th ultimo, on warrant for theft of a bay hack gelding, aged (fourteen years), about 15 hands high, both hind fetlocks white, has a narrow white streak on face, branded “ JH ” conjoined on near shoulder, nuggefcy build, in good condition; an English-made light saddle, stamped “ Page ” under flaps ; an ordinary single-rein snaffle bridle and stirrup-leathers; a leather girth stamped “Page” on inside (one stirrup-iron larger than the | other); a brownfelt numnah: total value, £ll 10s. (identifiable): the property of Amy Florence Page: Frank Saunders, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, thin features, cleanshaved except sandy moustache ; respectable appearance ; dressed in light-tweed coat and dark-tweed trousers. He hired the horse, saddle, and bridle to go to Masterton, and offered Hhem there for sale. He stated that he formerly worked forP. Tilley, horse-trainer, Eordeli.

Gbeytown.—llth instant, that a notice of fine of £4 14s. Bd. may be served on him for using indecent language on a railway-station, John Mitchell, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 5f in., cook, native of England, fresh complexion, darkbrown hair, brown eyes. Otaki.—l3th instant, that a warrant of distress may be executed on him for £5 12s. fine and costs for supplying a Maori woman with liquor, Robert Kilminster, age about twenty-six, height about 5 fc. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, very dark complexion, rather heavy dark moustache, rather heavy dark eyebrows which almost meet, generally wears his beard a week or more before shaving, Maori appearance, slovenly gait; dressed in dark suit and hard black-felt hat. He has a sister, Mrs. Wallace, residing at Kilbirnie. He was in Wellington recently, and may have gone to the South Island.

First, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 6 in., A. 8., native of England, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes, anchor tattooed on back of right hand. Second, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. s£in., quartermaster, native of Scotland, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair and moustache, blue eyes. Third, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 3 in., econd cook, native of England, slight build, black wellwaxed moustache. The last two deserted on the 14th instant. A reward of £2 each will bs paid for their apprehension.

Wellington.— l7th instant, on warrant for failing to provide his wife, Elizabeth Betsy McKay, with adequate means of support, David Alexander McKay, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 9 in., ex railway ganger, native of Ireland, medium build, fair complexion aud hair, light-blue eyes ; dressed in blue-serge suit and black soft hat. Complainant received a letter from him, dated 18/1/11, bearing the Palmerston North post-mark, containing an order from him to draw his pay from the Railway Department. He is supposed to be accompanied by Mary Neal, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 4 in., stout build, dark complexion, black hair, and carrying a child about three months old wrapped in a cream coloured shawl. Another warrant has also been issued for him that he has failed to provide adequate maintenance for his four children.

Wellington.— lßth instant, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “Clan Grant,” Thomas Quinn, age fortyone, height 5 ft. 4 in., A. 8., native of England, medium build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes, star tattooed on left hand ; is probably wearing a dungaree suit without a collar. A reward of £2 will be paid for his apprehension.

Christchurch.— 2nd instant, on warrant of commitment to Lyttelton Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 Os. 6d., medical expenses for treatment when charged with helpless drunkenness, Frederick Chappell, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 11 in., gardener, native of Victoria, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, scars on left thumb, chin, and neck ; was wearing a greytweed suit and a violet-coloured hat. His parents reside at Albert Park, Victoria.

He may be living with the Maoris. His mother resides at Hillgrove, near Hampden, and a brother at Auckland.

First, age thirty-one, height sft. 11 in., seaman, native of England, brown hair and eyes, fresh oomplexion, clean-shaved ; dressed in dark-areen suit and cap.
