F. Waldegrave, Commissioner of Police. Wellington, lbth January, 1911.
“ Public Service Superannuation Office, Wellington, 16th January, 1911. “ At a meeting of the Board held on Thursday last, the question of the declaratory judgment given by Mr. Justice Sim in the case of Sub-Inspector McGrath came before the Board.
It was decided that in the face of this judgment I should request you to publish a notice in the Police Gazette calling upon all constables and others who considered they had a claim to pay for broken service to send in their applications to me before the 31st March next, after which date no further applications will be received. Would you be so good as to publish suoh a notice; and I think it would be advisable to suggest in the notice that those who have already applied, but whose claims have been laid aside owing to the opinion given by the Solicitor-General, should again send in their applications for consideration.
“ Amelios M. Smith, “ Secretary, P.S. Superannuation Board “ The Commissioner of Police, Wellington.”
