PERSONS WANTED.

Bach, Thomas height 5 ft. 10J in., labourer, native of New South Wales, st*sng,bujsd, sa,ndy complexion, ginger hair, blue eyes, safajrif op. nose .And forehead ; dressed in light-coloured suit a«dH?&fiaisia hat. -He is supposed to have gone to Taranaki. Heyfias a brother working on the railway at Stratford. His wife lives at Denniston or Westport. Offender was served with a summons for the 26th ultimo, but failed to appear, and stated his intention to clear out.

Lin; stout build, fresh completion, short thickyaeck, dark hair turning grey, moustache only, sleepy/ l es , dressed in darkgrey clothes, hard-felt/ mt/ has afnabit of humming and singing when in obtained £6 from Susan Russell, boardinghouse-keeper, by means of avaluless cheque. He was one of the firm of Kent and Daniels, plasterers, Wellington. Another charge pending.

Auckland. —11th ultipao, on warrant for being a rogue and vagabond, Will H. Matthews, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 7 in., supposed chejAst, fhative of New Zealand, medium build, brown hair, brown eyes, fair moustache; dressed in blue-coloured suit. Offender obtained £5 from Robert Watson by falsely representing that he bad an account in the Bank of New South Wales, Auckland; and also by representing that he wps a purchaser for 105 acres of land uttered a valueless cheque on the Bank of New South Wales, Auckland, to Mary Glass. Other charges pending. Waipawa.— 6th ultimo, on warrant for deserting his wife, Gisella Theresa iarfebert, at Waipawa, Alfred Lambert, age thirty, height? 5 ft. 5 in., coach-driver, native of New Zealand, medium Active build, light-brown curly hair, slight brown moustache. Mangaweka.— 9th ultimo, on Warrant for obtaining £3 by false pretefltcghfiroMi settler, Richard Corfrs, ffige "Wentymve, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of NeAKerflmid, ipedium build, dark complexion, round hair, dark moustache only ; dressed in dark clothes, joladlrhard hat, respectable appearance. Offender falsely he was a partner in the firm of Collis Bros., butchers. He is a brother of the Gollis’s, but has nothing to do with the firm.

Blowers (known as Bill Blowers), age about twenty-seven, height sft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, fair complexion, fair hair, cleanshaved ; generally dressed in dark-tweed suit. Supposed to have come to the North Island. Complainant, Annie Helen Mclsaacs. Christchurch—26th ultimo, on warrant for deserting his wife, Johanna Blackwood Dennison, at Christchurch, James Dennison, age forty, height 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in., boot-clicker, native of New Zealand, stout build, fair complexion, light-brown hair turning grey, dark-blue eyes, fair moustache only, has swelling in left ear ; dressed in dark coat and vest; walks smartly, and is a great boxing-

enthusiast. Supposed gone to America or Melbourne. Photograph filed in the Inspector’s Offioe, Christchurch. Offender took about £1,500 away with him. Extradition expenses (from Australian States only) guaranteed.

Christchurch. —lst instant, that he may be served with summonses for wilful damage, refusing to quit licensed premises, and assault, Arthur Welsh, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 6 in., hotel porter, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, cleanshaved.

Christchurch.— 3rd February last, on warrant for theft of the chestnut trotting-mare “ Pylades,” value £IOO (recovered), the property of George Patrick Robinson, Christchurch, Harry Stuart (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-three, height sft. 6in., labourer, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair, clean-shaved, wears his hair rather long, large eyes; dressed in dark-brown tweed suit, small light-green hat; looks like an ex-jockey. The mare in question was stolen on above date, and sold to Thomas Crawford, of Tapui, near Oamaru, by a man described as above. Dunedin. —2nd instant, on warrants for disobeying an order of the Court for the mainrcmfafiqp., of their mother, Walter Pobar and Fernando Pobar. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 421.) Walter was £8 in arrears on 26th March last ; Fernando £8 10s. on 30th March last.

Waikaia. — 3rd instant, on warrant for disobeying an of Court to pay 2s. a week towards the support of his father, John Buchanan, jun., age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., baker and confectioner, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion, small fair moustache only. He is well known in Invercargill, where he formerly carried on business as a baker and pastrycook.
