APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

—Patrick Coleman, deserter from H.M.S. “ Challenger,” has been arrested by Constable Dunnet, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 56.)

Auckland. John Baxter, deserting from H.M.S “ Powerful,” has been arrested by Constable Bern, Kiri kiriroa police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 30.)

Pukeicohe.— Louis Jenkins, obscene language, has been arrested by Constable J. Horan, Whangarei police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 67.)

4— % Whangaroa. — George Aickin, disobeying an order of the Court, is no longer wanted. (See Police Gazette, 1899, page 92.)

Gisborne.— Ernest John West, false pretences, has been arrested at Opotiki, and committed for sentence on four charges of false pretences under the name of James Oscar Bell. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 443.)

A--.Taihape.— Robert Hamilton, known as “ Sydney Bob,” assault, has been served with a summons by Constable Hitchcock, Taihape police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 123.)

Palmerston North. Henry Charles Adolphus false pretences, has been arrested by ActingDetective D. Cameron, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 281.) Offender is identical with Paul Henry Mercier (see Police Gazette, 1909, page 86), and Henry Charles Aaolphus Mallet Moore (see Police Gazette, 1909, page 486.)

o-"* Wellington. William Percy Ay ling, wife-deser-tion, has been arrested by Detective J. J. Cassells, Wellington police, and discharged. (See Police Gazette, 1908, page 82.)

.Wellington.— Elizabeth Ward, alias Gillies, theft, has been charged with this offence by Acting-Detective Abbott, Mount Cook police, and sentenced to three months. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 94.)

‘•"’Nelson. George Stanley, alias Cecil Parker, default of fine for travelling from Westport to Nelson without paying fare, has been arrested by Constable L. Read, Ahaura police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 48.)

Murchison.— lda Neilson (or McKenzie), missing friend, has returned to her mother in Sydney, and has written to her stepfather. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 56.)

r * Christchurch. — Andrew Clark, disobeying order of t’ue Court, has been arrested by Constable Townsend, Masterton police, and remanded. (See Police] Gazette, 1909, page 192.)

— Henry Charles Adolphus Mallet Moore, theft, has been arrested by Acting-Detective D. Cameron, Wellington police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 486.) He is identical with Paul Henry Mercier (see Police Gazette , 1909, page 86) and Henry Charles Adolphus Williamson (see Police Gazette, 1908, page 281.)
