Auckland. —lßth January last, on warrant for disobeying an order of the Court to pay £1 per week towards the support of his wife, Henry Campbell, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of Australia, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes; fond of drink. Offender has a sister, a Mrs. Mercer, residing at Patea, and may be found working in that district. Arrears due to 10th January last, £lO 10s.

Auckland. —22nd instant, that he may be returned on board the s.sf'“ Cornwall,” being an undesirable immigrant, William Henry Smith, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 8 in. or 9 in., native of England, supposed labourer, cleanshaved, dark complexion, thin face, husky voice, dressed in green suit and soft-felt hat. He is consumptive.

Auckland. Joseph C. Amoretty, wanted on warrant for forgery: If arrested outside New Zealand extradition expenses will not be paid by the complainant. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 115.)

BJin., miner, native of New South Wales, clean-shaved, sallow complexion, blaok curly hair, large blue eyes, respectable appearance; dressed in grey-striped sac suit, and straw hat or cap. Hastings.—l6th instant, on warrant for deserting his wife, Lilly Foss, at Hastings, John Foss, age thirty-one, height js*ft,. 7 in., slim build, dark eyes ; seeded in dapiblue suit and grey cap; addicted to drink and gambling. He is supposed to have gone towards Wairoa.

Inglewood.—-23rd instant, that he may be compelled to support his wife and family, George Meares Payne, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer and seamen, native of England, very dark complexion, dark moustache only, smart appearance, well educated. He was a member of the First New Zealand Contingent. He was at Hawera in January last, where he was employed as a road-foreman. He has a brother a school-teacher at Wanganui. Inquiry by the Charitable Aid Board.

Wanganui.—2oth instant, on warrant for escaping from lawful custody, William/Treves, alias William Henry Trevis, age forty-six, height sft. 4Jin., labourer, native of England, medium buils faiir complexion, light-brown hair turning grey, moustache on|y, anchor tattooed on right forearm, “ True Love ” onf left/forearm, sailor on left hand, ring tattooed on left ring-fingej/; dressed in grey suit and soft shirt. Offender was under/arrest for using obscene language, and escaped from the police cells on above date. (See Police 1909,

Palmebston Noeth.—sth ultimo, on warrant for theft of a bicycle, value £l2 (recovered), the property of John McLauchlan, Palmerston North, Carson, age twentyfive, height 5 ft. 8 in. or 9 in., slim build, sharp features, dark complexion and hair, clean-shaved, slightly stooped, American accent; dressed in grey-tweed coat and cap, fawncoloured corduroy vest with brown trimming around edges ; untidy appearance. The bicycle was recovered by ActrngDetective Cameron from a boardinghouse at Thorndon Quay, Wellington, where it had been left by offender, who gave the above name. He also left a shirt marked “L. Storey ”in the room he occupied there.

Palmebston Nobth. —13th instant, on warrant for false pretences, James McLean, age sixty-one, height 5 ft. 6 in., cook, native of Scotland, fresh complexion, grey hair, large blue eyes, stout builds about 16 stone weight, brownmoustaohe tjuraing plausible manner; fond of a soft shirt, and grey cap. Offender obtained £1 lffs. from Raymond John Wells, labourer, by falsely representing that he was one of the MoLean Brothers, contractors, and that he would give him employment. Wellington.—-23rd ultimo, warrant of distress may be executed on him for £2 19s. 6d. arrears due for the maintenance of his four children, inmates of St. Joseph’s Orphanage, Frederick Blacklidge, age about twentyseven, height 5 ft. 'din. or 10 in., native of England, very dark complexion, dark hair and eyes, surly appearance; dressed in dark shabby suit; fond of drink. He is probably accompanied by his wife, age twenty-eight, height about 5 ft. 5 in., fresh complexion, light-brown hair, thin build; dresses well.

Wellington.—23rd instant, for esoaping from lawful custody,

Offender was on remand on several charges of housebreaking at Palmerston N'orth, and escaped from the Lambton Quay Lock-up on the above date.

Greymouth. —l4th instant, on warrantor deserting his wife, Ellen, jShrea,rsan# at Blakefown, , Greymouth, Herbert Bridge Thornton Shearman, age thirty two, native of New Zealand, height 5 ft. 2 in. or 3in., clerk, stout build, fresh Offender was lately employed as timber-inspector by Wickes and Co. (Limited), and was last heard of At "Wellington on the 13th instant, when he wrote expressing his intention of going to Sydney. His father is a Church of England minister, at Liverpool, New South Wales.

Christchurch. —Bt’n instant, on warrant for forgery and uttering, C. W. Ross^hW* 16 prohablyfiaditious), age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. fair hair, light fair moustache only, well builL pleasant appearance ; dressed in suit* sold nine bags of grass-seed to Dalgety aud*Ooy, and teomygd a cheque for £8 25., which he altered to £BO ( :Ss,, and received that amount in gold from the bank. Offender may be identical with Stanley Dailey, alias Murray, &c. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 243.)

TiMARU.—22Dd December last, on warrant for failing to provide for the futura-ia&mybnanaay £ mate child, Yi ct&fc.EfyLzkC&p, alia§ fiwentysix, height 5 ft. yin., fireman aud labourer. It has now been ascertained that offender’s correct name is Sorenson, and that he has relations residing at Westport. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 3.)

Dunedin. —l6th instant, on wanrant for theft of a cheque for £1 3s. 6d. on McDonald and McKay, Milton, also a gentlemen’s Royal Standard/ bicycle, 23-in. frame, rubber pedals, drop handles, black-enamelled frame, lamp-bracket and bell attached, value £5, and &J TOs. in money, the property of Henry Thomas Trevdna, saddler, Dunedin, Robert Heaton Munro, age fourteen) height 4 ft. 10 in., industrialschool boy, native of New Zealand, medium build, very square shoulders, fresh ‘'complexion, very dark hair ; dressed in light-coloured knicker Suit.
