INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
New York (America).— lnquiry requested for John A. Norman, wanted for the murder of Annie Kessler, on the Ist November, 1909. Description : Age about twenty-four years, height 5 ft. B§in., native of Sweden, seaman and labourer, blue eyes deeply set in head which twitch when conversing, blond hair growing well back from temples, ears project from head ; when he is laughing or joking frequently makes use of the expression “you’re a fool”; walks erect,
and when standing generally places hands in his trouser pockets; speaks good English, with a slight Swedish accent; a cigarette-smoker ; dressed in blue suit, brown vest, black Derby hat, usually wears low-cut shoes, and carries a foun-tain-pen protruding from handkerchief-pocket of coat; anchor tattooed on right wrist, woman’s head and bust in wreath on left forearm, figures or markings on chest; a recent out on left wrist which may have left a scar.
