Newtown, Auckland. —Between 30th June and 14th October last, from a packing-ease stored at 31 Mason’s Avenue, the property of FREDERICK RADDINGS, carpenter, a silver rose-bowl, fluted sides, slight dent on one side, stand missing, value £2 ; two silver serviette-rings, “ E. R.”

and “F. R.” engraved on side, value 15s. each; and a pair of Irish-linen bed-sheets, one has “R” marked on corner, very narrow hems, value £1 each. Identifiable.

Epsom. —2oth ultimo, the dwelling of DONALD PETRIE, school-inspector, was broken into, and the following stolen : a gold necklet, with pendant attached, set with garnets, value £2 ; a gold brooch, set with garnets, one garnet missing, value £3; a gold bracelet, set with large and small garnets, with tiny chain attached, value £3; a large size brooch, blue enamel in centre, pearls set in centre of enamel, value £2 ; a gold locket about size of a sovereign, with pink and white stones round the edge, a pink stone in centre, a thin old gold chain attached, value £2; a set of carbuncle sleeve-links, value 10s. 6d. ; two gents’ gold rings, with bloodstone set in each, value £1 each; a gentlemen’s very old gold watch-chain, with fancy key attached, value 10s. 6d. ; a silver brooch, with Jubilee sovereign set in centre, value £1 ss. ; a ladies’ gold ring, set with turquoise and pearls, value £3; an 18-ct.-gold weddmg-ring, very much worn, and broken in one place, value 10s. 6d.; a silver bracelet, with butterfly on front, value 7s. 6d.; a silver sugar-sifter, value 2s. 6d. ; a silver harp-brooch ; and silver tea-spoon: total value about £3O. Hikurangi. —l3th or 24th ultimo, from the bedroom of REGINALD AUTHEMA.N, miner, a cash-box containing three £5 notes, £8 in gold, silver, and £1 notes, and 9s. in threepenny-pieces ; a collection of old English coins, value 10s. ; a silver hunting Rotherham watch, “ Presented to R. Autheman by his mother,” inscribed on case, value £4 ; a greenstone watch-chain, small bars joined by two or three small links, bars gold-mounted at ends, value £7 10s. ; a Kruger sovereign, with gold ring through it; a diamondshaped pendant, with ruby set in side, value £1; a gold horse-shoe pin, value 7s. 6d. ; a greenstone silver-mounted bar-brooch, value ss. ; a gold nugget, with part of broken pm attached, value £1; a gold ring, set with bloodstone, value £5 ; and a Post-Office Savings-Bank Book, No. 116531. Suspicion attached to James Wallace, age thirty-two, height 6ft. fin., labourer and butcher, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, large nose. Dannevirke. —9th ultimo, from High Street, Dannevirke, the property of RICHARD HOWE, butcher, a gentlemen’s green-enamelled New Hudson bicycle, No. 95189, Hussey reversible outrigger handles, Eadie Coaster hub - brake, 88 gear, Oceanic tires, rat-trap pedals, black celluloid mudguard on back wheel, free wheel; value, £7. Identifiable.

Levin. —Between 14th October and 27th ultimo, from a shed at the Levin Hotel, the property of FRANK RHODES, hotelkeeper, a pair of buggy-lamps, oval face, with thick plate glass, silver edgings, silver candle-stock, which fastens with a pull-spring catch inside of lamp, a silver oap fastens round the candle. A very uncommon lamp, nearly new, value £5 ss. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —23rd or 24th October last, from the paddock of A. HEBDEN, a very large brown and white cow, near calving, has one blind teat and one short broken horn; value, £6.

Wellington. —Between 2nd and 3rd instant, from a vacant section in Cuba Street, the property of the PALMER ENGINEERING COMPANY, a green-canvas engine-cover, about 14 ft. by 12 ft. 3in., two slits on each side, 3ft. 10 in. long, to allow shafts to protrude, “ Davy, Paxman, and Co., Ltd., Engineers and Boilermakers, Colchester, England,” in black letters, and “ Palmer Engineering Co., Ltd., Agents, Wellington, N.Z.,” in small letters thereon; value, £5. Timaru. —lßth ultimo, from outside the shop of WILLIAM WORKMAN, furniture-dealer, a gentlemen’s black Rover bicycle, nickel p&rts rusty, rubber pedals, rim-brake on back wheel, free wheel, Brooks’s saddle, straight handles, toolbag attached ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Ngapara.—lst instant, from a hut at Kokoamo, the property of GEORGE DOVEY, farm labourer, a Bengal razor, white handle, extra hollow ground, value 6s. 6d.; a Bengal razor, black handle, “Mr. Dovey ” on case, value 6s. 6d. (identifiable), and 16s. in money. Also a pair of gentlemen’s lace-up boots, size 7, value 17s. 6d.; a blue-cotton shirt, with small white stripes and turned-down collar, value 4s. 6d. ; a feather-weight hollow-ground razor, white handle, value 9s. 6d., the property of GEORGE TRIPP, farm labourer.
