Auckland. —Between 12th and 26th May last, from the shop of HUGH BLACK, watchmaker, Queen Street, a gentlemen’s Oct. gold hunting keyless Rotherham watch, No. 73929, engine-turned cases ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Auckland. —14th ultimo, lrom JAMES NEALIS, while under the influence of liquor, a gentlemen’s gold double albert curb-pattern chain, a five-dollar gold coin attached ; value, £7. Identifiable.

Newton.— Bth or 9th instant, the shop of HARVEY WILLIAM BATKIN, draper, was broken into, and the following stolen : A brown-tweed sac suit, size 5 ; a dark-grey worsted suit, size 4, a grease-spot near the watch-pocket on right side of vest; two fawn-coloured singlets ; two pairs of braces, Mikado make ; and seven grey- and fawn-coloured flannels: value, £5.

Kawakawa. —About 15th May last, from the feed-room of the Towai Hotel stables, the property of E. E. BRADBURY, labourer, a small brown Gladstone bag, containing a gentlemen’s navy-blue sac suit, value £4 ; and a pair of ridingpants, value £1 2s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Gustave Schmidth, age about twenty 7 -seven, height about 5 ft. 7in., sailor and labourer, native of Germany, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, small fair moustache only ; generally dressed in grey suit and tweed cap. Suspect worked on the Towai railway-construction works for some time, and left there about 15th June last.

Gisborne. —Between 24;h and 26th July last, from the residence of the REV. WILLIAM LAMB, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Coventry bicycle, new Brooks saddle, black composite handle-grips, new Dunlop tires ; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Wellington. —26th May last, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold keyless hunting-watch, No. 584, Swiss make, value £2 10s., the property of ALLAN GARLAND, steward, Russell Terrace. The article was securely packed and posted at Wellington to to his wife at Dunedin, but failed to reach its destination.

Gbeymouth. —3oth August last, from the passage of the Post Office Hotel, the property of WILLIAM BROWN, laundryman, a drab mackintosh three-quarter coat, branded “ Curry and Thomson, Glasgow,” on inside of collar, chain tab, two or three black grease-spots on left sleeve, military brown-leather buttons ; value, £3 15s. Identifiable,
