Auckland. sth March last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for seven days in default of paying fine and costs, £1 3s. 6d., for drunkenness, Michael Healey, age forty, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of Australia, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes; dressed in dark-tweed suit and blaok-felt hat.

Supposed gone to Kaipara, aud may be accompanied by a woman named Mrs. McLean.

Auckland.—l6th instant, that he may be served w.th a summons for disobeying an order of Court to pay amount due for stowing away, Charles Yule, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. in., shoemaker, native of Scotland, medium build, fresh complexion, auburn hair, blue eyes, dot tattooed on base of each thumb.

Auckland.—22nd March last, on warrant for disobeying an order of Court to pay 6s. a week for the support of his child, Albert Elrnest Trail, age thirty-eight, height 6ft., carpenter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair turning grey, grey eyes, cross tattooed on right forearm, nose bent to left. On the 22nd March last he was in arrears £3 12s.

Otahuhu.—Bth ultimo, on warrant for assaulting John Trewern, Otahuhu, Robert Graham, alias Bert Graham, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. BJin., carpenter, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, broad nose, medium build; generally dressed in greenishtweed suit and cap. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 65.)

Hamilton.—2lst ultimo, on warrant for obtaining £5 from George Henry Thompson, land agent, by false pretences, Donald Cameron, age about forty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in. or 10 in., shepherd or labourer, native of Scotland, medium build, clean-shaved, hard face, swarthy complexion; dressed in a dark suit and hard hat, leather watch-guard ; looks like a farm hand. Supposed identical with Robert Mayo (sea Police Gazette, 1909, page 192) and Alexander Cameron (see Police Gazette, 1909, page 245). Offender represented that he wanted to buy a farm, and asked complainant to cash a cheque on Bank of Australasia for £5, as he was short of cash ; he also gave complainant a valueless cheque for £IOO as deposit on a farm, and obtained a receipt for it, which he may have on him.

Ohakunb.—3lst ultimo, that a summons may be served on him for sly-grog selling, John Bibby, age about thirtythree, height 6 ft. 2 in., circus hand, thin build, fair hair and oomplexion, clean-shaved ; generally wears riding pants and leggings. Was at one time proprietor of a buck-jumping show. His wife usually accompanies him.

Taihape.— 2nd instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the maintenance of his illegitimate child, Frederick Bennett, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 4 in. or 5 in., butcher, native of Australia, medium build, fair complexion, lightbrown hair, grey eyes ; generally dressed in dark-brown clothes. Offender worked at Longburn Freezing-works in July, 1906. Complainant, Yera Jessie Raymond.

Patea.—-Bth instant, on warrant for deserting his wife, Karn Christina Doyle, at Patea, John Doyle, age twentyeight, height 5 ft. 10 in,, butcher, native of Levin, New Zealand, strong build, square shoulders, fresh complexion, dark hair, deep-set blue eyes, clean-shaved, two scars on top of head ; dressed in dark-tweed sac suit, hard black hat. He may assume the name of Holmes, and may be accompanied by a woman, of whom no description can be given, who recently lived at Foxton.

Wanganui. —lsth instant, on warrant for deserting his wife, Margaret Amelia Cleaver, at Wanganui, Robert Cleaver, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 10in., sawmill hand and bushman, native of New Zealand, medium build, strong appearance, black hair turning grey, brown eyes, slight squint, thin narrow features, black straggly moustache; dressed in dark-grey tweed suit and hard black hat. He was formerly employed at a sawmill at Utiku, and is known to most of the mill hands on the Main Trunk Line.

Wellington.— l6th December last, on warrant for false pretences on Levin and Co., Arthur Gordon, name probably fictitious, age forty to forty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in., medium build, slightly sallow complexion, dark-brown hair, clean-shaved, thin lips, square jaws ; dressed in dark-grey tweed suit. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 46 and 54.) Offender is now supposed to be identical with Norman Campbell, alias Mayo, alias Cameron. (See Police Gazette, 1909, pages 203 and 245.)

Christchurch. —10th instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Joseph William Bailey, age twenty-one, height over 6ft., labourer, exceedingly fair hair (almost white). Complainant, Maud Wells, Christchurch.

Christchurch. — 27th ultimo, on warrant for forging and uttering, Donald Hamilton, age about thirty-seven, height about 6 ft,, labourer, supposed Australian, fair complexion and hair, very fair curly moustache only, hazel eyes, nose slightly flat as if broken, strong erect build, good appearance, noticeable scar running from corner of right eye to the parting in hair ; dressed in dark clothes, and will have a quantity of luggage with him. He was working for A. IT. Holland, farmer, Greendale, and received a cheque for £5 6s. He subsequently obtained a blank cheque at Christchurch, and forged the name of A. H. Holland to a cheque for £6 165., and uttered it to John Jackson, licensee Grosvenor Hotel. Offender left Christchurch on the 9th instant for Wellington, and may be heard of at labour offices. His name appears on the Government Labour Bureau books at Christchurch. Other charges pending. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 246.)

Dunedin. —15th ultimo, on warranter theft of a gentlemen’s bicycle (recovered), value £lO, the property of Alexander Mawhinney, St. Clair, Herbert Helm, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6f in., labourer, native of Tasmania, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, clean-shaved, thick nose, scar on first joint of second left finger; dressed in grey suit and cap. Dunedin.— January last, on warrant for deserting his child, Stanley Charles McDonald, at Dunedin, Stanley McDonald, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 11 in., woolclasser, native of New Zealand, medium build, well built, brown hair, fair complexion, blue eyes, thick eyebrows, cleanshaved, hair parted in centre; dresses neatly. Invercargill. —Bth ultimo, on warrant for failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Bert Vincent, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 5 in. or 6 in,, painter, native of New Zealand, medium build, walks very erect (left hand generally in pocket), fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, small fair moustache only, large nose and mouth; heart, cross, and anchor (conjoined) tattooed on one forearm, and a fern-leaf on the other.
