Eden Terrace. —22nd ultimo, from the premises of THOMAS McNAB, monumental mason, Mount Eden, a yellow oilskin coat, well worn, two pockets on outside, value 10s. ; a stonemason’s double-faced mash-hammer, wooden handle, 9 in. long, steel head about 6 in. long, and about 1J in. face, value 12s. 6d. Identifiable.
Rawene. Between Bth and 10th ultimo, from the slaughterhouse of A. S. ANDREWS AND SONS, butchers, a Snider rifle, very old, sight off end of barrel, value £1; a sharpening-steel, with bone handle, value Is. (identifiable) ; also three butchers’ knives, value 10s.; and ten cartridges, value Is.
Napier. —About December, 1908, from Kinross White’s; Estate, property of JOSEPH COSGROVE, a bright-bay mare, about three years and a half old, 15 hands high, branded “J 0" in circle on near shoulder; value, £3O. Identifiable.

The notes are not signed or datestamped.

Dunedin. —7th ultimo, from Bond Street, property of WILLIAM ROBERTSON, telegraph messenger, a gentleman’s Seal bicycle, No. 18212, black-enamelled, red stripes, 22in. frame, free wheel, racing handles, rat-trap pedals, lamp attached; value, £B. Identifiable.
Dunedin. —23rd or 24tli ultimo, the shop of STEWART DAWSON AND CO. was broken into, and the following stolen; Five 9 ct. gold muff-chains, forty 9 ct. gold brooches, fifteen 9ct. gold brooches (in cases), a 9ct. gold amethyst bracelet, a 9 ct. gold pearl bracelet, a 9 ct. gold twist bracelet, a 9ct. gold bamboo bracelet, seven 9ct. gold necklets (pendants attached), two gold and greenstone bracelets, seventeen gold and greenstone brooches, five 9 ct. gold and greenstone sleeve-links, seven 9 ct. gold and greenstone pendants, a 9 ct. gold and turquoise and pearl star pendant, a 9 ct. gold amethyst and pearl star pendant, a silver and enamel bracelet; total value, about £IOO.
Dunedin. —About August, 1908, from a paddock at Caversham, the property of JAMES GLENN, horse-trainer, a dark-bay thoroughbred yearling filly, unbranded, barb-wire scars on fore-legs and chest; value, £IOO. Identifiable.
St. Bathan’s. —Between 20th and 23rd ultimo, from the bedroom of JANE GARTY, waitress, Vulcan Hotel, a 9 ct. fine gold neck-chain, small plain links, one link broken and fastened with white thread, gold photograph charm attached with photos of two women, value £1 10s. ; a 9 ct. gold band ring, “ J. M. G.” engraved on outside, value £l. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to David Hutton, age about twenty-three, height about 5 ft. 7 in., motor-driver, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair and complexion, clean-shaved ; dressed in grey clothes, grey cap, and black pointed boots (much worn).
