Dunedin.— 6th ultimo, on warrant for forgery, Man, name unknown, age about twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 4 in., dairy hand, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair, small fair moustache only, ruddy complexion ; dressed in dark-grey suit and cap ; wearing a silver or metal double watch-chain, with two trinkets hanging therefrom. Offender forged the name of John Westfold as an indorsement on a cheque drawn by Fraser and Macassey, and uttered it to Samuel Jacobs in payment for articles of clothing. He is probably identical with a man known as George Osmond.
