Parnell. —4th instant, from the dwelling of CHARLES GRIFFITHS, laundry-keeper, Portland Street, Parnell, a silver hunting keyless stop-watch, “ Ernest L. Littlejohn” on inside of case, value £5 ; a leather guard with a gold buckle with oblong-shaped medal attached, stamped “ St. Louis,” value £4 10s.; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold half-hoop ring, set with three diamonds, value £5 ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with five turquoises, value £2 ; a ladies’ 15 ct. gold halfhoop ring, set with five rubies, value £2. Identification doubtful.

Russell. —Between 2nd October last and Bth January, from the dwelling of JOSEPHINE F. WANTERS, Matauri Bay, a gold neck-chain, value £1 10s. ; a gold brooch, with opening at back for photo, value £1; a cameo brooch mounted in imitation gold, value £1; a silver key-shaped gilt brooch, set with blue and red stones (some missing), value £1 ; a silver seal with letter “ W.” (very old), value £1; and sundry smaller articles: total value, about £7 12s. Suspicion attached to Louie Willis, age about twenty-two, height about sft. lin., domestic, native of Sydney, flat-footed. Her father is an expressman in Auckland.

Kaitaia.— 3rd instant, the property of G. H. ROBINSON, farmer, a gentlemen’s riding-saddle, a number of cuts on back of seat, under-flaps covered with canvas, stirrupleathers nearly new, tubular girth, ring at each end with buckles in a running strap; value, £1 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Puki Tipena, age about twenty-two, height about 5 ft. 10 in., high cheek-bones, square shoulders, small dark moustache only. The saddle was taken from off complainant’s horse, and replaced by an old one.

Gisborne.— 3oth December last, from Reed’s Quay, Girs borne, the property of MORDAUNT C. WINTER, farmer, Kaiti, a bay gelding, seven years old, black points, 15 hands high, branded “D” on off shoulder; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Taradale. —sth instant, from Gleeson’s smithy, Napier, the property CHARLES O’BRIEN, a dark-bay hack mare, aged, 15 bands high, grey patch on near rump, mane and tail pulled ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Hawera. —loth instant, from the Central Hotel, Hawera, the property of WILLIAM BELLVE, hotelkeeper, Okaiawa, a black tin cash-box, containing an English Rotherham hunting lever watch; a 15 ct. gold'double curb chain; a large-sized quartz pendant, with gold-band round it; a petrified-wood pendant, reddish colour ; a greenstone pendant in the shape of Maltese cross; plain band gold bracelet, set with two diamonds and ruby; a gold two-bar brooch, horse-shoe in centre; and a gold brooch, two hearts and moonstone in centre : value, £3O. Identifiable.

Taihape. —Between 27th ultimo aud 9th instant, from a paddock at Turangarere, the property of GARDNER AND SONS, sawmillers, three four-year-old bullocks —one lightred, with small patch of white near the flank, crumpled horn; the other two red, cocked horns (all branded “G” on off-side rump): value, £6 10s. each. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —10th instant, from the dwelling of JOHN McCLURE, labourer, Linton, a white-silk handkerchief, with “M” worked in corner ; 3 yards of floral ribbon, 4 in. wide ; three tins Havelock tobacco; a black tie, with white stripes (value, about 133. 6d.) ; also 13s. 6d. in cash. Handkerchiefs only identifiable. Suspicion attached to Norman Gordon and John Simpson, Weraroa School Boys. First: Age fourteen, very pale complexion, blue eyes, sharp features ; dressed in dark-tweed coat and knickers and tweed cap. Second: Age fourteen; small for age, dark hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion, round f9.ce, round-shouldered, dark-tweed coat, knickers, and cap.

Petone.— lsth instant, from the Gear Company’s butchershop, Petone, the property of WALTER CLEMENT BURD, clerk, a gentlemen’s Maori bicycle, No. 955, B.S.A. parts, made by Dogherty and Hawley, South Wellington ; value, £7 10s. Identifiable.

Clyde Quay. —Between 24th and 27th ultimo, from the stables of A. T. McWILLIAM, cab-proprietor, Courtenay Place, a colonial-made saddle, large knee-pads, large stirrupirons (with nickle worn off); also a thick brown-felt saddlecloth : value, £4. Identifiable,

Greymouth. —llth instant, from the Albion Hotel, Greymouth, the property of HENRY LINKLATER, miner, Stafford, a gentlemen’s bicycle, No. C 18561, 24 in. frame, New Departure hub, Edie reversible upturned handles, thumb roller brake, rat-trap pedals with toe-clips, 890 saddle. Dunlop tire on rear wheel, West Coast Special tire on rear wheel, steel mud-guards ; value, £2l. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —12th ultimo, from Parsons’s Boardinghouse, the property of THOMAS KELLY, Aranga, Feilding, a blue coat, with red and black lining, two large pockets on the outside, and one inside, small split on tail, branded “C.S. A. R.” ; value, £3. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —29th December last, from outside the office of WILLIAM SMITH, Hereford Street, a gentlemen’s Saville bicycle, B.S.A. parts, No. 685, Brooks 810 saddle, Dunlop tires, rubber pedals ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Ashburton.— 2oth ultimo, from the paddock of JOHN MCDONALD, farmer, a bay trotting mare, named Maggie C, about 15 hands high, slender build, one hind foot white, nine or ten years old ; also the mare’s foal, a chestnut colt with one white hind foot, believed to have a little white on forehead: value of both, £SO. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to a Man, name unknown, age between twentyfive and thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., slight build, very dark complexion, black moustache only; dressed in grey suit and hard black hat, supposed Australian. Suspect represented himself as a buyer of trotting-borses from Australia. Special inquiry to be made from settlers near shipping ports, as the mare and foal may be in a paddock awaiting shipment from the Dominion; also inquiry at shipping-offices, &c.
