Auckland. —loth December last, from the warehouse of Macky, Logan, and Co., Victoria Street, property of LIONEL ROGERS, salesman, a gentlemen’s open-faced silver keyless Swiss watch, “Lloyds, Karori Tramway,” on dial; a rolled-gold cable single chain, no bar, swivel at ends; a 15-ct. gold heart-shaped locket, chased back and front, “ L.8.R.” engraved on front: total value, £3. Identifiable.

Auckland. —loth or 11th October last, from the fishingboat of CON MARANIO, a large pair of field-glasses with dark-leatlier case, maker “ Le Meire, Paris ” ; value, £7 7s. Identifiable.

Ponsonby. —HENRIETTA SPARLING’S dwelling broken into. The ladies’ watch was offered for pledge at Copland’s pawn-office on the 27th December last by a man giving the name of J. Vincent. The watch was retained by the pawnbroker and handed to the polioe. Vincent is no doubt identical with J. Gordon, wanted on warrant for this offence, as he answers the description, except that he is now wearing a black bowler hat. (See Police Gazette, 1907, pages 444 452, and 459.)

Mount Roskill Road (Auckland). — 10th or 11th November last, from a paddock, property of JOSEPH ARTHUR THORPE, a dark-brown cob pony, aged, 13£ hands high, hogged mane, rat tail, hair rubbed off on top; value, £5 ss. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Norman Austin, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 9 in., horsedealer, native of New Zealand, clean-shaved, sandy hair and complexion, large scar on right side of jaw. Parents reside at Penrose.

Mount Roskill Road (Auckland). —11th December last, from the dwelling of ERIC GILFILLAN, Victoria Avenue, a ladies’ 15 ct. gold-chased keeper-ring, very broad, space for initials, “ H. A. Collins ” stamped on inside ; a 15 ct. gold bar-brooch, lyre harp, set with a ruby and two pearls ; a pair of gold swallows attached by fine gold chain, set with pearls ; a small gold heart set with ruby in centre of two pearls on raised scroll across heart; a small plain greenstone heart, a gold ring on top; three greenstone barbrooches, “N.Z.” in centre, and three knobs on each end: value about £lO. Newton. —11th December last, from the shop of Court Brothers, drapers, property of MARY ELLEN MASSEY, Mount Eden, a silver-mounted imitation crocodile-skin purse, “ M.E.C.” in ink on inside, containing three sovereigns and about 10s. in silver, also a ladies’ half-hoop 18 ct. gold ring set with five diamonds, “C. T. Young” supposed stamped on inside, claw-setting, value £l2; a ladies’ halfhoop 18 ct. gold ring, set with one diamond and two emeralds, claw-setting, value £B. Identifiable.

Daegaville.— loth December last, from the bedroom of FABIAN DE LISLE, actor, a black-cloih silk-lined dinnerjacket; a pair of khaki riding-pants : value £3. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Len \icCarthy, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 8 in., native of New Zealand, me uum build, fresh complexion, blue eyes, dark curly hair. His parents at one time kept an hotel at Parnell.

Napier.- 18th or 19th December last, from the dwelling of ERNEST JACOBS, labourer, a gentlemen’s “Governor” bicycle, “ Premier Company ” on transfer in front, 22in. frame, yellow lines, “Governor” saddle, straight handle-bars, two brakes, one of which has a piece of brass attached to it; value, £lO. Suspicion attached to a man named Jim, age about twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of North of Ireland, stout build, brown hair, clean-shaved except scraggy ginger moustache, deep-set eyes ; dressed in well-worn dark-grey suit, hard black hat. Suspect had worked on complainant’s farm for about three weeks.

BENNETT AND CO., indent agents, a “ Sanderson ” regular camera, no lens or focussing scale, 5 in. by 4 in. plate with “ Thorndon-Pickard ” roller-blind shutter, clip on front fastener broken ; also a black-leather case, black-leather “Adams” changing-box, soft Irown leather on top; sixteen packets of 5 in. by 4 in. plates for camera : total value, £l2 12s. 6d. Wellington.— CHAßLES HICKSON’S dwelling broken into. Frederick Cooper, one of the suspects, has been committed for trial for this offence; none of Mr. Hickson’s property recovered.
