DESERTERS FROM HIS MAJESTY’S SERVICE.
From H.M.S. “ Challenger,” at Sydney. On 4th and 7th December, 1905. Maurice Quinn, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 8 in., A. 8., native of Wales, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. Edward Ward, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 4§ in., leading seaman, native of England, brown hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion, mole between the shoulders. John Maines, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. in., stoker, native of England, dark hair, brown eyes, fair complexion. James B. Williams, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 7£in., stoker, native of New South Wales, brown hair, blue eyes, ruddy complexion, two marks right and left knee. A reward, not exceeding £B, will be paid for the apprehension of each.
From H.M.S. "Powerful,” at Fremantle. On 7th December, 1905. Albert E. Florence, age twenty - seven, height 5 ft. in., stoker, native of Warwickshire, brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion, scar below left groin, A.F. and anchor on outer side of right forearm. William Irwin, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 7£ in., A. 8., native of County Cork, Ireland, brown hair, grey eyes, fresh oomplexion.
From H.M.S. “ Prometheus,” at Wellington. On 18th December, 1905. Henry Thomas Lawrence, age twenty-two, height sft. in., private R.M.L.T., native of Worcester, fresh oomplexion. dark-brown hair, grey eyes. A reward of £3 will be paid for his apprehension.
From H.M.S “ Prometheus ,” at Port Chalmers. On 29th December, 1905. George H. Pike, age twenty-five, height sft. sin., A. 8., light-brown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion. A reward of £3 will be paid for his apprehension.
