Sydney. —A warrant has been issued by the Water Police Bench for the arrest of Monsell Alfred Shaw, charged with embezzling the sums of £57 18s. 9d. and

£483 18s. sd. respectively, the property of Thomas Edward Woodhams Noyes end Henry Obeyd Noyes. Offender is about thirty-one years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. or 5 in. high, stoutbuild, inclined to be corpulent, pale complexion, light-brown hair, clean-shaved; generally dresses in a light sac suit or dark-serge suit and Panama hat; wears pince nex, and walks smartly; a clerk; native of England; arrest desirable. Balmain. —A warrant has been issued by the Balmain Bench for the arrest of Stanley Brown, charged with wife-desertion. He is thirty-one years of age, 5 ft. 6£ in. high, stout build, dark hair and reddish-brown moustache only ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and hard black-felt hat; a grocer. May come to New Zealand. Cundletown (New South Wales).—A warrant has been issued by the Taree Bench for the arrest of Norman Aloysius Stapleton, charged with embezzling the sum of £3 14s. 10d., the property of Margaret Hair, Cundletown. Offender is twenty two years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, dark sunburnt complexion, clean-shaved, slight build, dark-brown hair and eyes; dressed in a blue-serge coat and pair of trousers, no vest, soft white shirt, and Panama hat. South Australia.— Warrant issued for Michael Nabba (may go by the name of Cutter Alie), an Assyrian, age about forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., very dark complexion, black hair, medium build, pock-marked, for unlawfully quitting the State of South Australia, with intent to defraud one Cutter Alie, to whom he was then indebted to the amount of £l2O, at Adelaide, on the 30th October, 1905. He was last seen on the 15th November, 1905, at Merino, Victoria. It is thought he will endeavour to get to Syria or America disguised as a turbaned Indian. Capetown (South Africa).— Arthur John Anderson, wanted in South Africa for theft of bank-notes, it has been ascertained that the £2O note No. 1043 has since been cashed in Hobart, bearing the indorsement “ E. McGuire.” Anderson was accompanied by a man named Ted Glover, alias McGuire, who is described as thirty-five years of age, sft. 8 in. high, biack hair and moustache, very much given to drink, ooarse thick face, medium build. His father is said to have an hotel in New Zealand. Both men are said to have left the boat at Hobart. California. —lnquiry requested for William Evans, age about twenty-three, height about 6 ft., carpenter, rather dark complexion, native of Clynnog, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, was last heard of about two years ago in Wellington. Inquiry by Henry Prichard, box 453, G.P.0., Los Angeles. If traced information to be forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Wellington.

England. —lnquiry requested for William Reeve, age about sixty-five, height about 5 ft. 8 in., ship carpenter, sturdy build, very dark complexion, small gold rings in ears, native of Stratford, and served his apprenticeship at a ship building yard at Deptford. He is said to have arrived in New Zealand about thirty-five years ago to join his brother Frederick, who had been successful on the goldfields. inquiry by Ambrose Reeve, 124, Park Street, Derby.
