PERSONS WANTED.
Hamilton. —l7th March last, on warrant for theft of a pair of gentlemen’s crome-leatber shoes, square toes, size 7, half-soled, value 10s., the property of H. H. Howden, jeweller, Bert Fuller, age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., supposed native of Germany, stiff build, fair complexion and hair, no hair on face; dressed in dark suit and tweed cap. Supposed gone to the northern gumfields.
Hamilton. Louis, age about twenty-two, height about 5 ft. 2 in., supposed native of Spain, stiff build, sallow complexion, dark hair and eyes, round f-atures, dark moustache only; dressed in grey-flannel coat, black vest, browu trousers, and black cap. Supposed gone to the northern gumfields.
Palmerston North. —l2th December last, on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Gaol for three da>s in default of paying £1 35., fine and costs for breach of the borough bylaws, David Hogg, age thirty, height 5 ft. 7 in., a cabdriver, native of New Zealand, thick-set build, fair complexion, hair and moustache, two upper front teeth missing. He may be found employed in a stable or driving a wagon.
Wellington. —7th March last, on warrant for disobeying an order of Court to pay £1 10s. a week for the maintenance of his wife, Archibald William Humphries, age thirty, height 5 ft. 6J in., a mechanic and cycle agent, native of England, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, large nose, mole on each cheek. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 246.) Offender is a cyclist, and may be found competing at sports. He is said to have been seen at a sports meeting at Sydney about a month ago. Arrears to 6th February last amount to £36. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 133.)
Wellington. —2Btb ultimo, on warrant for disobeying an order of Court to pay 15s. a week for the maintenance of his wife, Frederick Marshall, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 5 in., an ex-railway employee, native of New Zealand, thick-set build, dark-brown hair, clean-shaved, blue eyes, ruddy complexion ; dressed in dark blue navy suit and skullcap ; fond of drink. Was £6 ss. in arrears up to 31st March last. Supposed gone to Waipukurau or Martinborough. Photograph filed in Inspector’s office, Wellington.
Blenheim. name of Robert Heyward to a cheque for £5, and uttering the same to James Gleeson, publican, Charles Smith, age twenty-six or twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 5 in., a stableman, native of England, medium build, small moustache only, tattooed on both arms and ohest; dressed in dark clothes and soft brown-felt hat. The number of the forged cheque is 94345, and offender may have the cheque-book in his possession. Supposed to have left for Wellington on 20th ultimo.
Dunedin.- 20th ultimo, on warrant for deserting his wife, Gezina Henrietta Kerr, at Dunedin, John Kerr, age thirty-five, height sft. 3 in. or 4 in., a fireman, native of Ireland, medium build, very broad shoulders, dark complexion and hair, large staring blue eyes, light-brown moustache ; dressed in dark tweed suit and hard black hat.
