PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland.— 29cb or 30th ultimo, from the dental rooms of CHARLES FREDERICK BENNETT, Queen Street, a cylinder of gold ; a cylinder of scrap gold ; a sheet of solila gold ; a bottle of flint-edged gold alloy ; a strip of gold plate ; several small pieces of silver solder; a gold bridge for lower jaw, porcelain tooth between two gold crowns ; a pair of gold-mounted spectacles : value, £l4. Identification doubtful. Breaking and entering.

Auckland. —29th or 30th ultimo, from the dental rooms of WALTER DOUGLAS BREWER PITTAR, Queen Street, a cylinder of gold; value, £1 ss. Identification doubtful. Breaking and entering.

Newmarket.— 3rd ultimo, from the railway-station, the property of MRS. ARTHUR MORROW, Mount Eden, a portmanteau containing pink wands, satin shoes, wedding flowers and ornaments, a black and white silk dress, two black skirts, a pair of shoes, gloves, two hats, underclothing, two petticoats, four pairs of stockings, a blue shawl, two crash costumes, a cambric dress, blouses, three nightdresses ; value, £lO 7s. Identifiable.

Helensville. —4th instant, from a shop, the property of ELLEN DYE, Kaukapakapa, a plain gold bangle; a twobar gold brooch, with rubies and pearls in centre ; a gold band ring, “ Eunice ” engraved thereon : value, £3 10s.

Waihi. —17th ultimo, from a dwelling, the property of JAMES GOARDE, a Waterbury watch and silver chain, with a threepenny piece, a halfpenny dated 1840, and an American coin dated 1820 attached; a tennis shirt, a flannel shirt, a pair of drawers, all marked “J. G. ”; and £1 ss. in cash : value, £4 ss. 6d. Breaking and entering.

Napier. —4th instant, from the dwelling of ARTHUR LAWRENCE, a nearly new grey blanket, double, bluestriped border, hemmed with blue worsted ; a well-worn grey blanket, hemmed with red worsted, several cuts on edge; 2s. 6d. in cash. Blankets identifiable.

Napier. —2oth ultimo, from a room, the property jof CLAUDE BURLEY, an old Waterbury watch, “Burley” scratched on back of case ; about sixty half-penny postagestamps, ss. 6d. in silver, and a cheque for £2 drawn on Bank of New Zealand by Mrs. Walker in favour of Claud Burley : total value, £2 15s. 6d. Cheque and watch identifiable.

Hastings. —2lst or 22nd February last, from a room in Warren’s Hotel, the property of HUGH MARSHALL, labourer, an open faced Swiss metal watch, “Kapai” on dial, well worn, and silver curb-pattern chain attached; also £7 in single notes: total value, £9. Watch identifiable.

Palmerston North.— 4th or sth instant, from the shop of HARRY PALMER, auctioneer, two dark-stained overmantels, 4ft. by 3ft., “314” and “315” on back; a trying-plane; two smoothing-planes ; two jack-planes ; two squares of different size ; two tenon saws; three chisels, assorted sizes; one brace; two oilstones; twelve bits, assorted sizes; one screwdriver; a mallet; a bead-plane; two yards of brown tapestry ; two pairs of scissors ; twelve mattress - covers, brown and white stripes; six pillowcovers of same material; two pieces of cretonne, light and dark pattern : value, £l3 10s. Tools and overmantels identifiable. Entrance effected by forcing front-door lock.

Shannon. —lst instant, the property of JOHN LANDERS, a Palace keyless hunting-lever watch, No. 578, nearly new, “J. Landers ” scratched on inside of case, value £2 10s. ; a 9-carat gold chain, about 12 in. long, cable-pattern, with nickel sovereign-case containing two sovereigns attached, value £7. Identifiable, except sovereigns.

Christchurch.— 3rd or 4th instant, from a shop, the property of RONALD McDONALD, carpenter, Spreydon, carpenters’ tools, value £8 11s., recovered. Suspicion attached to two men, names unknown. Descriptions: First, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., thick-set build, brownish moustache only ; dressed in dark clothes and so!t brown hat. Identifiable. Second, age about thirty, height 6 ft., medium build ; dressed in grey top-coat and black hard hat. Identification doubtful.

Christchurch. —4th or sth instant, from an open shed at Chaney's Corner, the property of EDWARD MALLIGAN, labourer, a white blanket, a red quilt, a grey-tweed coat, a blue-serge vest, a pair of overalls torn at bottom, a pillow and white pillow-slip, a blue-serge cap with hole in top, a book entitled “ A Fight for a Million ” ; value, £2. Identifiable.

Geraldine. —Between 18th ultimo and Ist instant, from a paddock, the property of EDWARD BURKE, farmer, Hilton, thirty suorn English Leicester rams, branded “3 BO” on side or rump, square piece out of right ear; value, £9O. Identifiable.

Oamaru. —Bth instant, the property of FREDERICK R. DENNISON AND CO., a Torpedo bicycle, 24 in. frame,

reversible handles, black rims, seat pillar-fastening out of place, Brooks saddle, Massey-Harris pedals; value, £B. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —21st ultimo, from the office of CHARLES GRACE, Cumberland Street, a pair of gentlemen’s goldrimmed spectacles ; value, £2 10s. Identification doubtful.

Winton. —6th instant, from the dwelling of WALTER M. SMITH, Oreti Flat, a crossed cheque, No. 12276, for £l4 10s. on Bank of New Zealand, Winton, drawn by H. Smith in favour of Walter M. Smith. Suspicion attached to man, name unknown, age about twenty-six, height about sft. 4in., medium build, fair complexion and moustache; thought to be wearing a light-coloured suit, coat much too large for him.
