INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney.— lnquiry requested, at the instance of Mrs. Maud Laurin, No. 20, Norton Street, Leichhardt, Sydney, as to the whereabouts of her husband, Adolph Frederick Laurin, age about forty, height 5 ft. 9 in., a tailor’s cutter, thin build, fair complexion, blue eyes, light-brown hair, moustache only turning grey, wart between eyebrows, scars on back of one hand (supposed left). He deserted his wife at Brisbane on the 29th June last, when he left for Sydney. He had then about £2OO in his possession. Photograph in Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. (04/1755.)
Western Australia. —Inquiry requested, at the instance of J. McAlister, as to the whereabouts of his wife, Mary Frances McAlister, and children, and John Barry. Descriptions : First, age forty-seven, short, dark, inclined to be stout, slightly turning grey. She has five children with her, ranging from seventeen years to six years of age. She is supposed to be living with John Barry, aged thirtyseven, tall, dark complexion, slight build, moustache only. Follows timber-hewing, and will probably be found working under an assumed name. They left Western Australia for Melbourne in February last as Mr. and Mrs. Morris and family. Photographs in Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. (04/1765.)
