Auckland.-— Gy bran Hannah, draper and jeweller, Victoria Street, reports that on the 10th ultimo his shop was broken into, and the following stolen: five 15-carat gold band rings set with two opals and one ruby, four 15-carat gold band rings set with one ruby, seven 9-carat band rings set with three opals, three 9-carat gold band rings, set with one opal, four 9-carat wedding-rings, an 18-carat wedding-ring, two 18-carat gold keepers, three greenstone anchor brooches mounted in 15-carat gold, two greenstone bar broochesjwith gold fern in centre, a 9-carat round gold medal (bird on one side and
bicycle on the other), three silver chains (cable pattern, one single and two double), two rolled-gold single chains, three greenstone battle-axe brooches mounted in gold ; value, about £SO.
Auckland. —Hugh Gilmore draper, Manukau Eoad, reports that on the 13th ultimo his premises were broken into, and the following stolen: About thirty £1 notes, and a cheque on the Bank of New Zealand for £8 2s. 6d. drawn by Ethel McCullough in favour of Martha Pratt.
Ponsonby. —P. S. Underwood, carpenter, reports stolen from a building at the Marist Brothers’ College, on the 22nd or 23rd ultimo, one rip and two panel Disston saws, and three chisels, all branded F.S.U. ; value, £]. 4s. 6d. Identifiable.
Rotorua.— 'Robert S. Wake, settler, reports stolen, about the 14th March last, a single-barrelled breech-loading gun with small catch on left side, very long barrel, No. 12 bore, “ Made by the Remington Arms Coy. ” stamped on the barrel; value, £5. Identifiable.
New Plymouth.— William Stock, settler, Inglewood, reports stolen from the Coffee Palace, on the 13th ultimo, a gentlemen’s Atlanta bicycle, maker Oates, Lowry, and Co., No. 1757, maroon - enamelled 23 in. frame; value, £ls. Identifiable.
Carterton.— Gordon Hughan, cycle agent, reports stolen from his shop, about the 7th February last, a gentlemen’s Massey-Harris bicycle, No. 18424, model 6, black frame, Brooks saddle, adjustable handles, steel rims ; value, £lO. Suspicion attached to Patrick O'Connell. Description: Supposed Irish, labourer, has been employed flax-cutting, about thirty-five years of age, about 5 ft. 7 in. high, stout build, light complexion, sandy hair, moustache only; is very talkative.

Lower Hutt. — Frank Barnes, artist, reports stolen from a room at the back of the Church of England schoolroom, between the 18th and 20th ultimo, two oil paintings of the s.s. “ Tarawera ” and s.s. “ Rotomahana,” Bin. by 6in. each; two black feathers with ‘ 1 Ophir ’ ’ painted on them ; seven white feathers with a steamer painted on each ; and a parcel of mixed tube colours : value, £2 15s. Identifiable,
Blenheim. — James Brown, shepherd, reports stolen from the Dumgree Railway-station, on the 30th March last, a new tweed tailor-made sac suit, about size 5, dark cloth material with white stripe running through it; value, £4 15s. Identifiable.
Christchurch. — Alfred Oppinheim, bootmaker, reports stolen from the rifle range, Bromley, on the 12th ultimo, a gentlemen’s Martin bicycle, No. 0424, nickel rims, reversible bars ; value, £l4 10s. Identifiable.
Phillipstown. —Richard Bickerton, New Brighton, reports stolen from his trap, on the 3rd ultimo, two gig-lamps, large bull’s-eye glasses in front, red glass at the back, mounted with brass beading, brass candle-holders ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Papanui.— John Highsted, labourer, reports stolen from a dray at Middleton, on the 13th ultimo, a gentlemen’s large open-faced metal watch, No. 2460, N.Z.R. on back; a rusty metal chain with large watch-key attached : value, £5. Identifiable.
