Douglas Gordon Hunter is inquired for by the Wellington police at the instance of his father, Lieutenant Hunter, Trocadero, Wellington. Description : A native of Scotland, twenty years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. high, stout build, fair complexion, brownish hair, clean-shaved. He was Quartermaster of the 27th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry, in South Africa, and arrived in Wellington on the 10th December last, accompanied by McDermott, Slaughter, and Eccles (a solicitor) , all of them having been members of the same battalion.

Herbert Foster Clapham, alias Frank Clapham, alias Challis, alias Rhodes, is inquired for by the Christchurch police at the instance of H. T. Milnes, wool-buyer, Christchurch. Description : A native of Bradford, England, clerk, thirty-seven years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. high, fair complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, both little fingers crooked. Is supposed to be about Reefton or Greymouth. His relations in England are anxious to locate him.

Bradley. —lnformation is requested concerning the whereabouts of Edward Bradley, who arrived at Auckland on the 12th December, 1900, from San Francisco, and wrote to England saying he had received employment as ploughman 120 miles inland. Description : A native of England, about sixty years of age, about 5 ft. 7 in. or 8 in. high, about 12 st. weight, dark-brown hair, small moustache, a few hairs on chin. He had been in Australia from 1861 to 1897. Inquiry at the instance of his nephew, George E. Brown, Darton, near Barnsley, England. (03/518.)
