Auckland. William Webb, charged with theft from Harriet Clegg : The watch, No. 8074883, has been recovered by Constable J. Watt, Auckland police, and offender committed for sentence.
Wellington South. —H. Bannehr, auctioneer, reports stolen from Mr. Hooper’s premises, in Daniel Street, during a sale there on the 2nd instant, a blue mackintosh overcoat with a long cape attached, plaid lining, a pair of gentlemen’s brown gloves in one of the pockets; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.
Christchurch. —Jack Pettard, compositor, reports stolen from his bedroom in Holmes’s boardinghouse, between the 7th and 9th instant, a gentlemen’s 15 carat gold fetter-link double watch-chain, rather worn, bar in centre; a gold diamond-shaped pendant about 1 in. long, set with an opal; and a gold-mounted greenstone pendant about 1J in. long : value, £5. Identifiable.

Alexandra. —William Pirie, dredge-hand, reports stolen from under his pillow, on the 19th or 20th instant, a brownleather pocket-book containing four £5 notes and three £1 notes on the Bank of New Zealand, and £1 in silver ; value, £24. Pocket-book identifiable.
Alexandra. —Joseph Edward Thompson, miner, reports sto'en from the dining-room of the Alexandra Hotel, on the sth or 6th instant, a nearly new heavy fawn-coloured tweed mackintosh, cape detached; “Absalom Smith, Dunedin,” may be on the tab : value, £4 10s. Identifiable.
