Auckland. — Francis Henry Creamer is charged on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for seven days, in default of paying £1 6s. fine and costs for breach of the Defence Act in not attending parades. Description : Colonial, blacksmith, thirty-two years of age, 5 ft. 9 in. high, stout build, fair complexion and hair, fair moustache only; generally wears a brown suit and Dr. Jim hat; is fond of drink. He was a member of the Seddon Mounted Bifles, and may attempt to get to South Africa.

Auckland. — At 11 55 p.m., 12th instant, a man was seen by Constable W. Skinner looking over a high wall at the rear of P. Hayman and Co.’s warehouse. On examination it was discovered that a determined effort had been made to force open the back door by two timber-jacks. A drill, bits, blasting-powder, and various housebreaking-tools were left behind by the offenders, of whom no description can be given.

Auckland.— Charles Enticott, alias McDonald, charged with default of fine for drunkenness, has been arrested by Constable E. J. McKelvey, Waipawa police, on information supplied by Constable F. Pidgeon,

Papakura. — Frank McLeod is charged on warrant with indecent language. Description: A native of New Zealand, gum-digger, about twenty-five years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. high, fair hair and complexion, medium build, usually clean-shaved, long easy strides when walking, keeps his hands in trouser-pockets, speaks slow with slight impediment ; dressed in dark suit, and straw hat well down on forehead ; respectable appearance. He was served with a summons for the above offence on the 14th ultimo, but failed to appear.

Dannevirke.— John McCann, charged with default of fine and costs for assault, has been arrested by Constable W. J. Butler, Ormondville police, and lodged in Napier Gaol.

Stratford. — James Drynan, charged with default of fine and costs for a breach of the Licensing Act, has been arrested by Constable H. Beattie, Waitara police. Pine and costs paid.

Feilding. — Samuel F. Henwood is charged on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Gaol for seven days in default of paying £3 4s. 3d., fine and costs for insulting language. Description : A butcher, forty-five years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, medium.build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, fair moustache only, bald on top of head; dressed in brown coat and vest, light-brown trousers, and light-brown cap.

Ashburton. —H. Crump, charged with forging and uttering cheques to Messrs. Moore and Grant, and Craighead and Berryman, has been arrested by Sergeant M. J. Geerin and Constable E. T. Bosworth, Port Chalmers police, and committed for trial on another charge of forgery.

Dunedin. —James Hendrick, charged with default of fine and costs for jumping off a train in motion, has paid the amount due to Constable T. Dwan, Nightcaps police.

America. —Eli B. Sutton is charged with perjury at Detroit, Michigan. Description: Age, thirty-four years; height, 5 ft. 7 in, or 8 in. ; weight, 1401 b.; medium build,

with military bearing ; dark-brown hair and small dark moustache, round face, dimple in chin, upper front teeth quite prominent and somewhat uneven, showing plainly when he laughs or talks. When last seen wore nose-glasses without rims, black Fedora hat, and dark suit of clothes ; generally wears dark clothes. When offence was committed Sutton was a lawyer in the City of Detroit, Michigan, a Regent of the University of Michigan, from the law department of which he was a graduate. Was formerly an officer on the staff of Governor Pingree, with rank of colonel. In early life he was a school-teacher. His mother, name Wilson, lives in California ; his brother, Walter Sutton, is in South Africa ; his wife’s relatives, name Williams, live at Sodus, New York. If found, information will be forwarded to the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington, where offender's photograph is filed.

France.— The Vice-Consul for France, Dunedin, reports the issue of warrants at Paris for the arrest of the persons hereafter named and described for forgery, fraudulent bankruptcy, &c : Eugene Frederick Gaston Humbert, born in Paris, forty-four years of age, looks forty, tall (about 5 ft. lljin.), thin build, auburn hair turning grey and a little thin on the top of head, light auburn moustache, grey-blue eyes, pale complexion, teeth of upper jaw slightly protrude, very longhands. Is a lawyer and artist, and is conversant with financial business, agriculture, and viticulture. Speaks English, German, and Spanish. Maria Therese Daurignac, wife of the above offender, a native of France, forty-six years of age, medium height (about 5 ft. 4Jin.), very stout, very brown hair, full countenance, dull colour, large nose, black eyes a little prominent, well-developed bust, good set of teeth, hands delicate and plump, fingers long, beauty-spots on neck and beneath the right ear. Can only speak French.

Marie Pauline Daurignac, a native of France, thirtyeight years of age, looks thirty-two, medium height (about 5 ft. lin.), thin build, brown hair turning grey, black eyes, good teeth, long face with some trace of colour, slight scars on the chin and on the upper lip, rather long nose a little bent to the left, thin hands, slender fingers, small feet. Paul Romain Louis Daurignac, a native of France, forty-four years of age, 5 ft. 3fin. high, very stout, rotund figure, brown hair moustache and beard, black eyes, pale complexion ; formerly lived in the Argentine Republic.

Jean Baptiste Emile Daurignac, a native of France, forty-eight years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, very stout, round full figure, brown beard tinged with grey, large nose, blue eyes, bald, florid complexion sanguine, very large neck ; was formerly in the Argentine Republic with his brother. Eve Marie Humbert, born at Paris, twenty-one years of age, very tall (about 6 ft. high), thin, pale complexion, dark-auburn hair, rather large long nose, good teeth, some freckles under the eyes, long hands, thin fingers, and thin long feet. Speaks English and German. If found, they are not to be arrested, but information at once forwarded to the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington, where photographs of the offenders are filed.
