Auckland. —Alexander Lindon, telephone clerk, reports stolen from a shed in the Domain a green-coloured waterproof coat, no cape ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —John Heins, pantryman, reports stolen on the s.s. “ Mararoa,” between the 13th and 17th ultimo, on the trip from Sydney to Auckland, a pair of 9-carat gold sleevelinks, bar at one end of them; value, £l. Suspicion attached to Samuel Crook, a native of England, twenty-one years of age, looks about seventeen, about 5 ft. high ; dressed in blueserge suit and brown soft-felt hat; worked his passage on board. Supposed to be in Wellington.

Mount Roskill Road (Auckland). Arthur George Comby, clerk, reports stolen from a shed in his yard, on the 30th ultimo or Ist instant, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, “Raleigh, 1900,” on the bar under the seat; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Onehunga. — Frederick Kelly, bootmaker, Queen Street, reports that between the 7th and 9th instant his shop was broken into and the following stolen : A pair of men’s glacekid machine-sewn balmoral boots, size 6; a pair of men’s golosh box-calf pegged boots, size 5; a pair of men’s Frenoh calf golosh balmoral boots, size 7: value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Onehunga. —Daniel Neilson, butcher, reports that on the Bth instant his shop was broken into, the safe was taken away and broken open some distance from the shop, and £l, consisting of sixpences, threepenny-pieces, and coppers, stolen.

Thames. —Laurence Bradley’s jacks stolen : John Gilbert Maxwell has been arrested for this offence by the Thames police; case dismissed. The jacks No. 715 and 716 have been recovered.

Tokaanu. —Hemopo Pakau reports stolen, between the Ist September and 10th October last, a collie sheep-dog, about eighteen months old, black body, white ring round neck, white hind leg, answers to the name of “ Scamp ”; value, £5. Suspicion attached to Albert Hayes, who was woiking near complainant’s place: he was last seen near Taihape, and generally lives with the Maoris.

Taradale.— Harley Davis, Kaikora North, reports stolen from off his horse at Greenmeadows, on the 30th ultimo, a new colonial-made saddle, with small knee-pads, “ J. McVay,” on nickel nails in pommel; an old leather girth (half-piped), four-bar nickel stirrup-irons, old stirrup-leathers, and new surcingle, a saddle-bag, three dozen chains, an oilskin coat, and a hat : value, £6 10s.

Napier.— William Adam Donaldson, storekeeper, reports that on the 28th or 29th ultimo his shop was broken into, and the following stolen : A quantity of Old Judge cigarettes, Derby and Juno tobacco, two tins of lollies, pipes, 6s. in silver, 3s. in coppers, and various small articles ; total value, £9 7s.

Napier. —John Vigor Brown, merchant, reports that his warehouse, Station Street, was broken into on the 28th or 29th ultimo, and the following stolen: An old black-cloth sac coat, with lining torn out of sleeves, and hole worn in left elbow ; eight gun-metal and brass and white-metal watches, “ Goldham,” “ Quaker,” “ Trimphing,” or “ Excelsior,” printed on face of four of them; a silver engraved cigarette-case, p„ gold pin with ivory handle, a gold pencil or an ivory-handled button-hook, twelve Blackwood’s razors, a silver fruit knife, four boxes of Grossmith and Son’s scpnts, three bottles of scent (not in b xes), and about five shillings’ worth of penny and halfpenny stamps: value, £6 17s. Bd.

Napier. —Conroy and Co., butchers, Station Street, report that their shop was broken into on the 28 h or 29th ultimo, and about fivß shillings’ worth of penny and halfpenny stamps stolen, also about twelve padlooks and door-keys, and about six keys of the cash-register.

Wanganui. —Edward Nelson and Carl Blinkman report stolen from the scow “ Emma Sims,” on the 2nd or 3rd instant, a blue-cloth suit, a white shirt, and a Dr. Jim hat, the property of Edward Nelson ; value £5. A pair of lace-up boots, size 8, the property of Carl Blinkman ; value 12s. 6d. Suspicion attached to Patrick, alias John , Gallagher, a native of Ireland, a seaman, thirty years of age, 5 ft. 7in. high, stout build, fresh complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, small brown moustache, several fresh scars about face ; dressed in dark-grey suit and blue skull-cap.

Palmerston North.— Bertie Grenville is charged on warrant with the theft, on or about the Ist ultimo, of a bicycle, the property of Robert William Goodger, cycle agent (recovered); value, £l4. Description : A native of England, a clerk or insurance agent, about twenty-five years of age, about 5 ft. 6 in. high, medium build, dark hair and eyes, thin features, clean-shaved, respectable appearance, dresses well. Sometimes wears tan leggings, and represents he is a remittance man. Has a wife and child in Canterbury. Offender hired the bicycle in July last, and sold it for £6.

Otaki. —Henry Elder, sheep-farmer, reports stolen from the Waikanae Flag-station, between the 4th and 10th instant, a case of beer containing seven dozen pints, labelled “ Ward and Co., Christchurch.” The case was marked on two sides J.J.C. over W. inside a triangle. Value, £1 16s.

Wellington. —Between the 18th and 21st ultimo there was ptolen from the Public Works Store at Pipitea 29£ yards of table-linen ; value, £6. Not identifiable.

Fox, value £1 10s.; a double-breasted blue reefer coat and vest, No. 68 on lining of vest, the property of J. Keileway, value £1 ss. Identifiable.

Mount Cook (Wellington). —Joseph Lachman’s graphophone and record-producer, &c., have been recovered by Chief Detective W. Chrystal, Christchurch police, on information supplied by Detective T. W. Boddam, Wellington police, and traced to the possession of Leonard Nation, alias Harrington, who has been remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence.

The Port (Nelson). —On the 4th or sth instant there was stolen from the Anchor Foundry and Steamship Company about 50 fathoms of 3£ in. three-strand soft “ Belfast ” rope ; value, £9. Identifiable.

Description : Clerk, twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. or 11 in. high, slight build, clear dark complexion, prominent teeth, clean-shaved, boyish appearance, reserved manner ; dressed in blue clothes. Supposed come to Wellington by s.s. “ Rotomahana ” accompanied by John Guilmott, a tobacconist’s assistant, about twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 4in. high, dark complexion and hair, full face. Offender was sent to the bank to deposit the above money, but failed to do so.

Christchurch. Hugh Hepburn reports stolen from Hobbs’s Corner, Colombo Street, on the 30th ultimo, an old black - enamelled bicycle, enamel worn off the front, B.S.A. parts, bent-down handle, cork grips, frame has been lengthened underneath bottom bracket, one new rubber pedal, small set-screw, front wheel 30 in., back wheel 28 in., Westwood rims; value, £5

Christchurch. Ettie Myers, care Heinrich Kohn, No. 326, Colombo Street, reports stolen from a wicker basket, between Auckland and Christchurch, on the s.s. “Takapuna” or s.s. “Rotomahana,” between the 28th and 31st October last, a silver-mounted hair-brush and small silver - mounted mirror, E.M. engraved on back of each; value, £4.

Lyttelton. —Frederick Rhodes, trimmer, reports stolen from tbs s.s. “ Maori,” on the 3rd instant, a blue-serge coat, a blue-serge double-breasted vest, two suits of blue overalls, a white-flannel shirt with blue stripes, a pair of old boots, and a razor, “ Hunter ” on the blade ; value, £2.

Ophir. —John Richard Prescott, labourer, reports stolen from the roadside near Ophir, on tbe 16th ultimo, a pilot overcoat, buttoned on left side, button off at the top and bottom, a patch about 8 in. long and 2 in. wide on left bottom corner, inside pocket on each side ; value, £3.
