Industrial Schools. (Circular No. 25/00.) The attention of all members of the Force is directed to section 12 of “ The Private Industrial Schools Regulation and Industrial Schools Act Amendment Act, 1900,” which alters the definition of “ child,” in section 2 of “The Industrial Schools Aot, 1882,” by substituting the words “ sixteen years ” in lieu of “ fifteen years.” J. Rewards
Constable J. A. Raynes, No. 765, has been awarded £4 for services rendered in obtaining the conviotion of William Townley for sly-grog selling at Kaka Point, Balclutha. (00/1914.) Constable W. Fouhy, No. 380, Roxburgh police, has been awarded £2 2s. by the Telegraph Department for obtaining conviotion of boys for attempting to damage insulators. (00/28.) Constable A. H. Hyde, No. 749, has been awarded £3 for services rendered in obtaining the conviotion of George Petohell for sly-grog selling at Poro-o-tarao. (00/1965.)
