Missing Friends.
David Heard is inquired for the Whangarei police, with a view of compelling him to support his wife, who is destitute. Description: A blacksmith, twenty-nine years of age, 5 ft. 10 in. high, medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, clean-shaved except small brown moustache, brown eyes, third finger of right hand bent, dressed in dark suit. Formerly worked for R. R. O. Masefield, Auckland, and was last seen at Rotorua in the beginning of October last looking for work. His parents reside at Opotiki, and a married sister lives at the Thames.
Thomas Baldwin is inquired for by the Rawene police, with a view of proceeding against him for the support of his mother. Description : A native of New Zealand, a gumdigger and labourer, about twenty-seven years of age, about 5 ft. 9 in. high, very pale fair complexion, stout build, grey eyes, fair hair; was gum-digging at Opaoaki about August last, but supposed to be afterwards at Waiuku, Waikato district, gum-digging.
Annie Dawson, inquired fdr by the Reefton police, has been found drowned in the Inangahua River.
