Deserter from Her Majesty’s Service.
From H.M.S. “ Tauranga," at Lyttelton. On 7th February, 1900.
Charles E. Rankin, A. 8., English, twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. Bin. high, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long nose, rather long thin features, clean-shaved, speaks with a strong Yorkshire accent. Said to have friends in Christchurch. He was waiting a courtmartial for assaulting ths captain of the “ Ringdove.” A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 from the Colonial Government.
