Extract from Tasmania Police Gazette.
(From Gazette, 1900, page 13.) Mersey and Latrobe Districts. — Edward Dye is charged on warrant issued on the 12th instant by P. C. Maxwell, Esq., P.M., for that he, since the Ist day of August, 1899, has left his wife, Emily Josephine Dye, and his children, John Charles, James Herbert, and Arthur, at Latrobe, without means of support. Description: Fifty years of age, height 5 ft. 6 in., sandy hair and moustaohe, fair complexion ; a bricklayer or plasterer by trade. Was recently at Burnie. May go to the West Coast or New Zealand.
