Eketahuna. —Rangai Tauira reports stolen from a Gladstone bag left at J. Hobman’s smithy, on the 9th or 10th instant, a dark-brown covert-coat, size 7, nearly new, very heavy ; a vest to match ; three white shirts, marked R. T. on neck-band ; a new white blanket with single black stripe ; a Stewart tartan sbawl, medium size (red and white); and a large white bath-towel, marked R.T. on each end: value, about £6 10s. Complainant resides at Papawai, near Greytown North.

Wellington. —John Davidson, charged with having stolen a watch from the shop of Donald Douglas (recovered): Offender, whose real name is St. Just de Boropouri Mackay, has been arrested by Constable J. Cairns, and sentenced to three months’ labour.

Wellington. Augustus Biss, accountant, Fitzherbert Terrace, reports stolen from an outhouse, on the sth or 6th instant, a child’s two-wheeled go-cart, painted brown, removable shafts with brass thumb-screws, American-leather hood and cushions, one of the latter missing ; value, £5.

Wellington. —Thomas Tankard reports stolen from the gymnasium at St. Peter’s Schoolroom, Ghuznee Street, on the 13th instnnt, a sovereign, half-sovereign, two threepennybits, a silver-plated matchbox, “ T.T.” on outside, and a dark Russia leather pocket toilet-case, containing a small mirror, scissors, nail-file, tweezers, and black comb ; value, £2 2s. 6d.

Johnsonville.— George Hobbs, farmer, Khandallah, reports stolen from an outhouse, on the 12th instant, a clickbrace, stamped Hon top; eight or nine bits, sizes -jg- in. to Jin.; a carpenter’s chisel with socket handle, and a solder-ing-iron : value, 15s. Suspicion attached to a man who was seen on the premises, and gave his name as Soltan. Description : Between thirty-five and forty years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. high, stout build, dark complexion, dark moustache ; dressed in a dark tweed or serge suit, and sailor’s peaked cap. Supposed to have gone to Wellington.

Akaroa. —Marmaduke Dixon, sheep-farmer, West Eyreton, reports stolen, supposed at Duvauchelle’s Bay, on the 23rd ultimo, a ladies’ blouse, soft-silk material, small green-and-white check pattern, trimmed with sage-green silk, two bands of white guipure down the back and three in front, collar trimmed with white-lace, value £2; and a ladies’ small umbrella with carved handle, quite new, value 12s. Gd.

Ashburton. —Martha Rowell reports stolen from a trap, on the 9th instant, a ladies’ black-cloth cloak, lined and trimmed with light-brown fur, slightly worn ; value, £2.

Ashburton. —George Meddins, shopman, reports stolen from outside th« Working-men’s Club, on the 16th instant, a Raleigh rijjht side handle bent;

Naseby. —Horatio Wood, hotelkeeper, reports stolen the railway goods-shed, Kokonga, on the Ist instant, a brownJ' paper parcel, marked H.W. over K., containing Vanity Fair/ cigarettes worth £1 15s. Suspicion attached to Simpson, about twenty-six years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high,' slight build, fresh complexion, large light-coloured moustache, scar on right cheek ; at present working at Kokonga.
