Missing Friends.
John Allanach is inquired for by his wife, residing at 66, Little Beach, Nanier. Description: Scotch, a house-pain ter, bi&fte: one yeafrf 01 age, sft. sin. high, stout build, dark com/fmyxion, idai4c eves, stye on right one, dark-brown hair, • moustache of auburn colour, walks with a sidjercmg gait, was troubled with a short dry cough. Ho was _last heard of on the Ist February, 1896, at Mrs. Allday’s,
(Sterling Street, Perth, Western Australia. He then stated his intention of going to Sydney or Melbourne, but Mrs. Allanach thinks he would probably go to Coolgardie, and if unsuccessful there return to New Zealand. As he was in delicate health, it is feared he may have died on the way.
Thomas Carridus is inquired for by the Dunedin police. Description : A native of Otago, a wool-classer and shearer, twenty-six years of age, sft. Bin. high, medium build, fair complexiou, small fair moustache. He left Dunedin about twelve months ago. Inquiry is with the view of compelling him to contribute towards the support of his illegitimate child.
